i think i read on here recently--like yesterday--about the holiday served at earl of sandwich. i have used the search feature and nothing came up. can someone help me out--tell me again about this sandwich please! also, is it bit enough to share? thanks:yay:

I posted a dining review the other day and the Holiday sandwich at EOS was one of the things I reviewed.

Basically, it's a turkey sandwich with cranberry, stuffing and gravy on it. My Husband declared it the "best sandwich he's ever had" which is saying a lot for my DH, he's Mr. Sandwich.

If you click the link in my signature to my October trip report, you can see pictures of it and read the full review in my final update. :thumbsup2

I will be at WDW in two weeks and will DEFINITELY try this sandwich. It sounds scrumdiddleeumptious! :cloud9::thumbsup2

my husband says he is seriously getting this! LOL!! thanks for the report and photo, annnewjerz. i see we will be at wdw at the same time!:yay:

Well considering I use the "Wonka" rating system in my dining review, that's about as perfect a description of the sandwich as any! :goodvibes

It really was good and I don't even really like stuffing. If you see a man on December 12th with hearts in his eyes while he's eating a Holiday sandwich, it's my DH---I think this sandwich may be his new soulmate. :rotfl:

I have read one too many threads about the holiday sandwich. :snooty:
Hence I am just going to head on over this afternoon and eat one!

I'm lucky enough to have an Earl of Sandwich about 5 miles down the road from my house they built last year. So I don't have to wait for my Disney trips to get my fix. Needless to say I eat there often. The sandwich that I think you are talking about is called the All American and is on their hot sandwich menu. It has turkey, cranberry, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and buttermilk ranch on it -but no stuffing. It is far and away the best sandwich in the entire world. I've had it a gazillion times and I don't get sick of it.

They may have another version called the Holiday that I'm not aware of that has stuffing, so I'm sorry if I'm mixing the two. You will not be disappointed with the All American.

nope...they DO have a holiday sandwhich.I saw this last year when we were there and we are going in 5 days and I am going to give it a try...

We were just there around Oct. 13 and they already had the Holiday Sandwich on the menu. It is on a separate menu board. It has turkey, stuffing, cranberries, gravy and mayo on it. I did not get one. It was so hot that day I just could not eat something so heavy, and also I knew I would be back in Jan so I will be getting one then. My DD loves them.

thanks everyone! are these big enough to share if you had a fruit salad on the side? thanks::yes:::yay:

Well, I just initiated myself into the EoS Holiday Sandwich Club! :rotfl:
First, I have never had a bad sandwich there. And this was no different.
I liked it. But not head over heels in love with it.
It did have shaved/thin sliced turkey, cranberry gel of some type, dressing, and I guess gravy. I really would not have known it was gravy without reading it here. It was moist, but not to the fall apart messy point.
What I tasted the most was the dressing, which was good.
If one cannot have a full T-Day traditional meal, then I guess this runs a close second, esp considering it is counter service.

If each person had a salad on the side, it could be shared.

I did not quite finish mine, and the sandwich was all I had besides a beverage. And I walked away plenty full. But I think I actually like my "usual" better -- the Hawaiian BBQ. Guess it is more whatever one is in the mood for. :confused3

Also, I bought an Original to have for lunch tomorrow. ;)
