okay i may have finally really lost it LOL.

I swear that I remember, back when Epcot first opened, that you could take a monorail straight there from the resorts. Am i nuts? LOL Or, could it be I remember taking one from the resorts to the TTC but not having to go down the ramp and board the train on the other side?

I swear, I remember being able to board the train to Epcot without doing the down the ramp, up the ramp thing. Anyone maybe who used to be a CM, can you set me straight on all this?

thanks!

I think if you take the monorail to the TTC from one of the resorts you only have to walk across to the EPCOT monorail loading area without having to go down the ramp & back up.:wave2:

I seem to remember the same thing. I also remember being able to park at the MK and take the tram. Now you have to park at TTC and take either the monorail, the boat or a bus.

I do believe that at one time you could walk right across. I remember the same thing - and it's designed so that would be possible.

I think they had to adjust it for crowd flow and control, IMHO.

thanks everyone, at least i don't feel totally crazy now! LOL i think you're right, that it's crowd control issues. but it sure is hard on those folks who have to push wheelchairs for family members like me! my poor husband! wish they'd make it possible for chairs to cross in the middle.

any more people remember crossing over without doing the ramp thing???

yes, i remember not taking the ramp...its designed to just go across....

Always remember parking, taking the tram to TTC and boat or monorail.

OK, now I know I am not nuts!! I always swore that years ago, early to mid 80's, that you didn't need to switch monorails at TTC to get into Epcot. I seem to remember wanting some down time and hopping on at MK, taking a ride straight over to Epcot, then heading back. :bounce: My sisters says no, but I swear......................

Funny story about the parking lot though. Back in 83, when my sister and I went alone for the day (I was 19, she was 41), we parked the car and headed inside MK for the day. We had a complete blast and at closing, we left the park. We exited MK and sister stops dead in her tracks, grabs my arm and says "Colleen, where's the parking lot!?!" :earseek: I laughingly said "Maybe they moved it!" She didn't find any humor in this and yelled "They couldn't of moved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" :earseek: Seems we forgot that little step of actually parking at the TTC, then taking the monorail in from there! She was paniced!! :faint: Personally, I found the whole thing quite funny! :hyper:
