I just booked my flights to Disney- I had planned on arriving around noon and book the 6 day tickets and hit Epcot the first day/night. Unfortunetly I did not getthe the early flight I wanted- now our flight doesn't get into Orlando until 3:15pm on our first day- since we are traveling with a 3 year old- We know we should unwind the first day- The dilema I face is considering adding an extra day. Is 5 days enough to hit all the parks in a relaxed manner? Would adding the park hopper be a better option?

Need some major help.

You will get to see and do much and not be rushed. Will you see and do all,no.If you rushed you still wouldn't be able to take in everything WDW has to offer you. That's good cause you can plan on doing those things next trip. :goodvibes :wizard: :flower:

We did it in four days last year with our three year old. The days were packed, but we managed a nap every day and my daughter CRASHED at night. No sleep issues at all. It can be done.

Do you remember your general itinerary? Did you park hop? Thanks! ::MinnieMo

Why, yes I do because I scrapbooked it! We did park hop. There is no other way to do it effectively in my opinion. We stayed at All Star Movies.

Day One- Arrived at 9am. Dropped luggage. It was my DH's birthday AND my parents were with us too, to add to the "festivities". We did Magic Kingdom and had lunch at the Crystal Palace. We went back to the room to unpack and had dinner in the food court at the hotel. We put my dd to bed and then my dh and I went to Pleasure Island.

Day Two- DD woke up with a Sully that we got her in DTD. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We did MGM. After lunch at Pizza Planet, back to the hotel for a nap. That night we did dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern and we saw the fireworks.

Day Three - Breakfast at Restaurantasaurus in Animal Kingdom. Did some there. Back to hotel for lunch and a nap. After naptime, we hit EPCOT and had dinner at the Coral Reef. We then shot over to MGM for Fantasmic.

Day Four - Had a breakfast scheduled for 1900 Park Fare, but we cancelled as we were all shot. We went back to the Magic Kingdom and then back to the hotel to check out. Our flight was a late afteroon flight.

We were TIRED, but we managed to hit all the big stuff. This year, we're staying in a villa with my mom and dad and my MIL and my DH's grandma. for a week. I may not make it through this one! :earseek:

I would say you could do it all in your time period, but you just won't be able to do everything. I would really reccomend getting park hopper and also joining tour guidemike www.tourguidemike.com he has great touring plans and will help you maximize your time in the park.

Good luck with whatever you decide :Pinkbounc

You will never hit it all wether 5 days or 10 days!!! New stuff is always coming out and it is a vacation!!! I think too many forget that they are on a vacation and try to see it all!!! I think with a 3 year old and 5 days you will be fine - the 3 year old will be overwhelmed with everything there is already. Prioritize what you must accomplish - character meal, particular shows and rides and check that stuff off the list 1st then work on whats left. We prefer to hop but that is us. I think you could still manage to do 1 park per day if you choose but faced with your choices I would add the hopper. This way if you finish with MGM or AK early - and these 2 close earlier than other parks - you could hop over to MK or Epcot at night (as they close around 9ish) after maybe a nap at the room. We like to hop so if there was something we want to go back to at the end of our vacation for a 2nd go we can. We are going with a 3 & 4 yr old in October and will take it at their pace - it will be magic to them if we get to see 1/4 or 9/10 of WDW. Only you will think your missing something. Then you can scope out other things that your child will be ready for next time around!!! Always planning the next trip......
