We already payed for our trip to WDW memorial week, and last week our barely 2 yr old fell and broke his femur. Because of the complex nature of the break, he was in the hospital for 2 days and will be in a spicca cast for 3 months. This cast is almost half of his body! What, if any, sugestions do you have for us! He is in a jogger stroller because a wheelchair could not accomadate him--he can't walk and we must hold him(and boy is that heavy!!!)...Even though we will have to do baby swap on most everythign, there has got to be a better way then standing through the long line killing our backs because the stroller can't be taken in...suggestions please? Also--what about Universal Studios? We had planned to go there also1 Thanks!

Get a Guest Assitance Card that indicates that the jogging stroller may be used as a wheelchair. You can do this at any Guest Relations desk in the parks. This will allow the stroller to be taken through the line

I do not think you have to stand in line to do the baby swap. This may change per season but when we were there last Nov. we all went to the CM outside the ride together and said that we wanted to baby swap. We were given a baby swap pass to be used later. Usually we were told to go to the fast pass line when we returned with the slip. We did not always go right after each other as there was no time given on the slip. It worked really nicely because The baby could go do something different (ie It's A Small World over and over) and then we would meet up and switch. Our radios help us be sure we could find each other. The CM's were very helpful and never asked us all to wait in line together. What a bonus for our 8 year old, who got to go with both Mom and Dad.

Sorry to hear about your 2 year old, but you can still have fun. Like lisapooh said, there is a Guest Assistance card that will let you bring the stroller into line and have it treated just like a wheelchair. You don't have to worry about carrying your child in line. He will be able to stay in the stroller and go where ever wheelchairs go.
He probably won't be able to stay in the stroller for rides where wheelchair users have a special car (like Winnie the Pooh) because a stroller may not fit in those. but you will be able to bring it into shows ans buildings.

Have fun.

Thank you all so much for all the responses---I used to be a regular at DIS, but have not had near as much time to use the puter as I used to...At any rate, your information is very much appreciated! I will post after the trip and let you all know how it goes!
