Need some advice.... Any opinions welcome! Looking to buy 4 tickets during middle of day (high maint kids), direct only, for early December time frame.

Live in central PA. Driving 2.5hrs from ewr, 2.5hrs from phl and 3hrs from BWI.

Scranton/Wilkes barre only 1hr, Harrisburg 1.5hrs. We are ruling these out bc no direct flight.

Ewr: United flights are $260-270 right now at reasonable times, DH parents can drive us there saving parking. Straight shoot on 80 highway.

BWI: JetBlue flights are $188 at ok times (getting in at 4pm, later than we would like but not by much). Small roads. 3hr drive.

Philly: ruling out spirit airkines bc of nickle n dining. AA flights are $300 for the flights we like.

Should we wait? We need Non stop flights between 11am-2pm. We are very specific with our times bc one child is very high maintenance so we have to manage the drive to airport, plus getting to mco at a reasonable time.

Questions:
1) is BWI better than ewr? It's harder to get to (small roads in December so possible snow issues).
2) is the fate difference $188 vs $260 worth the extra 30min drive to BWI? We are more familiar with ewr.
3) should we book now given our particular needs for a direct flight in the middle of the day? Or should we wait for a lower fate?

Any advice much appreciated!!

I think BWI is 1,000x better than EWR- we're in Reading and chose to fly out of there instead of Philly. Long term parking is cheaper, the airport itself is much smaller and very easy to navigate. Totally worth saving the money on the flight itself IMO. Check Southwest also, they offer direct flights from BWI-Orlando too.

Southwest flights open up tomorrow for December and they will have direct flights out of Philly, so if you wait a day, you can also consider that. We always fly SW out of Philly and have been very happy.

As for the cost diff between EWR & bwi, maybe consider the added cost of parking at bwi and see how much your total savings would be.

Oh! Thank you!!! I guess I'm stressing too early? We just need specific times (11am-2pm boarding), so I'm so worried the non mid day hours will be lower in price, while my hours are the prime times.
