Just had a brilliant quote for car hire in Orlando from www.gocarhire.com which includes the following:

* Collision damage waiver (CDW)
* Theft waiver.
* Insurance.
* NO excess guaranteed.
* Unlimited free mileage.
* All airport surcharges and local taxes.

plus - £30 for gold cover for extra drivers (so presumably the car will be with Alamo?)

This is what it says on their website - Go's rates include everything - Unlimited free mileage, insurances, collision damage waiver with absolutely NO EXCESS, CDW, theft waiver, airport fees, surcharges, all local taxes, levies and VAT.

Does the above cover all the insurance I need as I'm finding this whole car hire business very confusing

:confused:

I have had an e-mail response from them that confirms it is fully comprehensive insurance with nothing more to pay.

I have been quoted £436 for an intermediate 4 dr car for 17 days Gold cover (additional drivers, tank of petrol) with Dollar from Orlando International Airport.

Seems pretty good to me, what do you all think?

julie,

we payed a lot less than that (£330 springs to mind) for 17 days last time. I think we had a compact though

try http://www.orlando-car.com/ they used to be called Choice Air
they are quoteing £145/ week for an intermediate all inclusive

http://www.floridacarhire.com/ are usually pretty good too - but I don't know your dates to get an exact price.

Bev

I've had a quote for less than £400 for 17 days from Airline Network - think it was an intermediate too.

edit
£395 from Dollar, Int 4 door, Platinum Cover for 17 days to be precise

Wow, thanks Tracy - only £416 for a full size with Platinum Upgrade :)

Have you booked your car with them, or do you know anyone who has. I haven't heard of them before.

Also, do you have any idea whether they have a cancellation policy - can't find anything about one in their terms and conditions.

Thanks

I haven't booked with them yet but they were recommended to me by someone who'd booked flights with them.

I've already emailed them asking about their cancellation policy as I couldn't find it on the site either, I'm still waiting for their reply.

Thanks Tracey, would you let me know when you hear from them.

Digging a bit further into their website I'm quite impressed by what I see - and they are fully ABTA bonded too.

Don't think I'll find a better price than theirs for a full size for 17 days :D

Hi silver

We're using airline network for our coming trip(only 1 week to go now) they were great to deal with and will match any price. i paid £376 for 18 days its an economy though. They were the cheapest i found, choice air are around the same price i think.

Getting real excited now

Sam

Here's the info from Airline Network on their cancellation charges

With regard to you E-Mail querying the cancellation charges on car hire, I would like to advise that it is £25.00 to cancel your car hire up until 48 hours of pick up. Depending then on the car hire company it is made with the cost can increase.

Very tempted to book mine as well, while their Platinum Upgrade offer is on :Pinkbounc
