Hello,
I was wondering if someone that stayed in kindani or jambo could tell me if one of the buses goes from jambo to kindani? This is the first time I am not renting a car and I am :scared1:. We leave in a week and know I am thinking should I rent a car? Can anyone Hlp me
Thanks
Pam

The Theme Park buses go from Kidani Village to Jambo House to the Theme Park.
The Downtown Disney buses go from Jambo House to Kidani Village to Downtown Disney.

I did not realize that it was not a walkable distance between the two sections! I was planning to spending parts of two of my days touring the resorts. Guess I'll use my car rather than Disney tranportation!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 It is a walkable distance, but in Florida heat why not snag a bus, IMHO. It does take a little longer wait for the DTD to pick you up from Jambo. Compared to Pop the AKL buses were great.

It is an easy walk from Jambo to Kidani, 10 minutes max and if you deduct the time to walk to/from both bus stops it adds not much more than 8 minutes.

It realy is a short walk and its totaly uneccessary to take the car or bus unless you have a disability. Most of it can be walked via the car park under the hotel if you want to keep out of the sun.

The walk between Kidani and Jambo is easy. The desk at either resort will tell you it's 15 minute. It's not! Even with 10 people going at their own pace we the walk took us maybe 5 - 8 minutes!

During our trip in Jan I felt kind of bad for the people staying at Jambo. The bus going to the parks on several occasions was standing room only! Even in Jan! We, of course, gave up seat where need be.

I have never stayed at POP but your statement surprised me since I seem to read constantly people raving about the great bus service at POP.
I have been worrying somewhat about croweded buses at AKL for our upcoming vaction, I so hope we don't have a bad expierence or I will never hear the end of it from my traveling party, I picked the resort this trip :rotfl2:

Well waiting for a bus is all relative depending on where you are STANDING and what temperature it is outside and ...blah, blah, blah....

In the world of WDW bus transporation it is my humble expert opinion (audience gasps in anticipation) AKL is much better that Pop, Pop is much better that ASMo.

So imagine me, being on my ninth trip to WDW, first trip as a DVC member, staying SV studio at AKV....walking out on a warm November day...completely covered by overhead building, a light breeze making the BENCH very inviting. We stroll over and have comfortable seat. Life is good. No more than 5 minutes goes by when a lovely airconditioned bus pulls up to take us to a fabulous world class amusement park. We have a seat and muse to ourselves that we are living the good life. People at Jambo get on and if need be we may stand. This is OK because the bus turns a corner at we are at AK....dropping us off at the gate, not back down at the entrance to the parking lot.

Now picture me, it is my eight trip to WDW, staying at Pop because we always stay at values and find it more accomodating than All Stars. We decide to head to AK. So we walk to that spot in the sun on a warm November day....not begrudgingly but happy that we can afford an annual trip to Disney. There are a couple of people in front of us as we stand behind the metal rope that 3 cute kids are swinging from. I feel a single bead of sweat drip down my back becasue 10 minutes have gone by and everyone is now betting hard cash which bus is rounding the corner...DH is already owing Mr. Smith the computer programmer from Iowa $15 dollars...we know Mr. Smith becasue we have had time to chat with him and his wife, Sue while waiting for the AK bus. More people are now in line and beyond the metal rope. Kids are beginning to whine, I am having to shift my weight from side to side to keep the blood flowing. Finally an airconditioned bus pulls up and whew, relief. 10 minutes later we arrive a AK. We say goodbye to our new friends and walk a half mile from the drop off point for value resorts. But it is a terrific day at Disney.

OK for AllStars repeat the Pop experience in reverse after staying until the park closes....then having to stop at All Star Sports, then AllStar Music, and finally our personal favorite here AllStar Movies.

Yes, I am trying to be funny and hope that everyone has had a similar experience.
