Heading to Fort Wilderness in April courtesy of my sister who passed away last week from cancer. She had made arrangements for the family (unknowingly) including two dogs to camp at Fort Wilderness. We are looking to request a loop that allows dogs and is more secluded. Any suggestions?

You mite look into the 1800 & 1900 loops they are in the back of the full hookup loops and most people like 1600-1700 becouse they are up front. If you are in a perf. loop i would say 500 or 600 loop

First, my condolences for your loss.

If your dogs have long hair, you might want to avoid the 1800-1900 loops. There are loads of cypress tree droppings. We stayed in 1900 a few years ago, and every time we took our Schnauzer for a walk we spent at least 20 minutes cleaning up her hair.

I don't find any of the sites to be really secluded. I second what CCIntrigue says about staying away from the cypress with long haired dogs. Our first stay was the 1600 and I brushed our dogs every time we took them out,.

We love the 1800 loop. It is very quiet and it is bordered by a really nice dog walk along the canal. We have never had any problems with Cyprus on our Huskies. I do not especially care for the 1900 loop.
