HELP...Are the parks busy the week of Halloween??

We are considering going to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure/SeaWorld and Discovery Cove from Friday, October 24th, through Saturday, November 1st. If we can get reservations, we are also planning on staying at the Portofino Bay Hotel while we are there. Are the parks/resorts busy the week of Halloween? We are figuring on Halloween day being busy, but we're hoping the other days won't be like July/August. Has anyone been there during Halloween in the past?? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The days aren't too bad. The HHN nights can be very crowded, especially as Halloween approaches.

Thanks for the info....if the days aren't too bad, I think we'll try to book something this next week.

The last time we went to WDW it was mid-July and it was pretty crowded. Are the resorts crowded during Halloween week, or are the night crowds mostly Orlando area people coming out for the evening Halloween festivities??

Also, is the weather still pretty nice in late October?? We're shooting for a time of less rain than in the summer, but still good swimming weather....

The night crowds are heavier, as the locals come out and play. Day crowds aren't heavy at all.

Oct weather is great. It's not as hot, and sometimes rains (it's FL, afterall). It's a great month.
