HELP...AP question

I was planning on picking up my AP from my local Disney store today. The CM there said they will give me a pass that I have to turn in at WDW to get my actual AP.

After I pick up my AP ticket (?) today from the Disney store , can this be used immediately to make my ressies and get my AP discounted rooms?

yes - you don't need the actual pass until you check in.

And if you don't want to head to a park before check-in, you can also activate your pass at Guest Relations in Downtown Disney.

Actually you can make a reservation without it-you just need it at check in.
