HELP! AoA or GF ot YC...may loose ADRs?!?

Oh this is such a hard decision!! Question about GF transportation....can we get to Epcot by monorail too a. Also, is there counter service there?...fridge in room?

Yes, Yes and yes.

To all 3, Grand Floridian is a fabulous resort and I would jump at the chance to stay there with a great rate.

Some people will say it is not kid friendly and all but those same people will be booking dining at Park Fare and the kid cruises so I never quite understand those comments.

You will see happy kids everywhere. The options for dining with kids is much better than the yacht and beach and I love those resorts.

The pool at Yacht and Beach is fabulous but due to the design can be challenging for parents of young children due to the size and layout.

You can take the monorail to the TTC and then transfer to the Epcot monorail.
There is a CS place at GF. It's called Gasparilla Grill.
All resorts have a fridge in the room.

We are also a family of 6. I would definitely stay at GF, just for the monorail. We stayed at the Poly the year our youngest was 2 as we knew we'd never be able to do 2 rooms at a Deluxe. The hotel was very nice (although my kids enjoy the Values just as much) , but being able to take our 2 little ones back to the Resort and have one of us take the older kids to MK was priceless! We also loved watching fireworks on the beach and not having to deal with the rush of people.

And we all fit fine in the room :thumbsup2

How did you handle sleeping arrangements in the room?

Two kids in the queen bed, one kid on the day bed and the 2-year-old in a pack-n-play or crib.

Ok...how big is a day bed? My 2-year-old has been in her big girl bed for 6 months now and won't fit in a pack n play. I was hoping she could sleep with a brother in a day bed??

Easy choice IMO. Once the baby turns 3 you can't stay in a deluxe resort room with 6, so now is your chance to experience a deluxe resort. As to which one, to me it would depend on the time of the year. If it's swimming weather, I'd go with Y&B for sure. There is just no pool that can compare to Stormalong Bay! If it's in the colder months (even though swimming is certainly possible ... but you just may hit every day in the 50's and 60's), I'd go with the Grand. We really like them both.

As far as counter service at the Y&B: There is a counter service at the YC for breakfast ... it's right off the lobby. Then for lunch and dinner, you have the Marketplace at the BC and Hurricane Hanna's (at Stormalong Bay).

I think you said you were not going to do the dining plan. Beaches and Cream is a wonderful old fashioned ice cream parlor that IMO has the best burgers at WDW!!!

As far as table service, at the Y&B you have lots of choices and you are a short walk away from Epcot where there are loads of choices ... both table service and counter service, as well as the Boardwalk.
