Hello Everyone,

My DH had said that we can go to DLP next year and that he will contribute £750 - £1000 towards going (when its WDW we save for 2 years so he pays double this but seems as we are going to DLP one years after going to WDW this is all he can do in one year). Now I can save £1500.00 ish, maybe more and maybe less, depending on mortgage rate etc

This got me thinking!

Virgin offered that extremely good deal this year in which two weeks at WDW was something ridiculous like £599.00. So what my DH would contribute would be almost the cost of going to WDW (its costing us £2500.00 this year for us both!!!).

Now I haven’t said anything to him because he would shake his head in disbelief that I want to go again after only 1 year of saving. So I believe if I can get all my facts together first than I am more likely to win him over.

So my questions are if anyone can help me is this:

1) Do any cheap offers like the one being offered by Virgin get offered around November time?
2) What is the cheapest you have all don’t it for?
3) Do you think what I am proposing is remotely possible?

Thanks for any info you can offer on this everyone!

:lmao: You sly old thing you. :lmao:

:goofy: Go for it & best of luck hope you get a good offer. :goofy:

Does it have to be onsite? Flight only Virgin this Nov are from £319 a little dearer for some dates (or £300.10 any dates with 2000 Frequent Flying points)
I would expect to pay around £400 for a good hotel like Courtyard by Marriott LBV just 4-5min drive from Downtown Disney. Only paying £25/night in August.
So 2 weeks including flights/hotel/car could be done for around £600each. I would expect them to do deals for onsite as its about the quitest time of year but would stay offsite anyday rather than a Allstar resort.
Can be done even cheaper depending on quality of hotel. Comfort Inn LBV can be as low as £20/night.
For about £2,700 we are going to Courtyard in August for 25 nights and there are 3 of us with a full size car and Platinum Insunance.

Yes, its certainly possible in November.

Virgin had flight offers last year from £279 (all in) from early Nov to Dec 9th ish. If you DIY'd your accomodation - either Disney - rooms at Pop or All Stars can be as low as $50 a night off peak - or an offsite hotel, loads around $30 a night.

If you want a package then there are also bargains. DH and I used to go a lot in November and would never pay more than £189 for a flydrive and $30 a night for a hotel (usually all booked in advance with Travel City). Just avoid Thanksgiving and it will be as cheap as chips!

Thanks guys...whats a flydrive? I have heard of it but I don't know really what it is.

Hi

I have also been looking at flights / accomodation for WDW this november just to give me an idea and so far it isn't looking so cheap.

Do you book it all last minute to get the offers???

I welcome all tips and advice!

Hi - I would go with the £599 deal, it is an awesome deal & i would do it i a heartbeat - if i didnt work in a school :(
If your picky about where you want to stay, dont leave it till the last minute, we did November 04 & its one of the cheapeast times to go, i would compare prices for the 2 now & go with what suits, good luck :)

Thanks guys...whats a flydrive? I have heard of it but I don't know really what it is.

You get the flight & a car then bok your own accomodation seperately. This would mainly be used for people staying in a private villa or more than one location

:yay:

Having been to both DLP and WDW - I would say that it may work out cheaper to go to WDW!:confused3

Of course it depends how long you would be staying for, but from past experience a week at DLP comes out about the same cost as a fortnight at WDW!:)

The Virgin £599 deal sounds fabulous, but when I looked into it, the dates were unsuitable, or we would have been WDW bound again soon!:cool2:
