Help!!........Another last minute trip

My very active 79 yr old grandmother wants to go to my uncle's 60th birthday bash.It's going to be a family reunion with 100 plus guests.Here comes the best part, the party is in 12 days in Tampa .My DH cannot get the days off ,so , What's a girl to do,but, plan a mini trip to the world to take grandma .We are arriving on wednesday at 1130 ,we plan to check in at the hotel,spend the day in the pool ,hit downtown Disney and then on thursday go to Typhoon Lagoon,have dinner at Boma to show grandma AKL and leave for Tampa friday after check out.

We will be staying at a moderate. I already called and they have availability at CSR and POR.Here's where I need your help....I can't decide where to stay..Which pool is better for the kids (9 and 11) and grandma?? Grandma likes to drink coffee in the morning while reading the newspaper,so , I was thinking CSR,but, if we stay at POR we coud take the boat to downtown disney which would be so much easier.Also,POR looks a lot cooler (my last last minute trip was in May and it was HOT).Which food court is better?? I also read many wonderful things about CSR that I feel ,since, we are not staying deluxe this might be the best choice.Remember ,we are not going to any parks just Typhoon Lagoon,so , we will be spending a lot of time at the resort.

PS: My DH says that I would look for any excuse to plan a last minute trip to the world.I of course deny it,but,he is right it's addictive

My DH and I spent a weekend a CSR and did not do any parks. WOW! I was totally blown away by this resort. I felt like I was at a deluxe resort! DTD is just a VERY short ride away. We went there for a while and came back and spent the entire afternoon at the Pool/hot tub. The pool area is WONDERFUL!!!! The pool has a pyramid wth waterfall and a long, twisty slide (better even than the one at AKL). I bet your kids would LOVE IT!!! The pool bar also serves food, so no need to walk over to the food court for lunch. Good luck whatever you decde. Definitely check out AKL!

We equally love POR-RS! And there pool area. They also offer a marina and have boat rentals that you can take canal trips to DTD. Also transportation to DTD per boat is available! There is some construction plans and closing, but you could talk with the front desk for info on which section or area is affected. If this could be a problem for you.

I would base your decision on which "theme" you prefer, and which area you would prefer to be located in.
