now we are in the debate over what to replace it with.

We are considering doing a signature restaurant one night and going offsite our first night to try the famous Giordano's Stuffed Pizza. We are also still considering a 1 TS. In the running are:

Chefs

Teppan Edo

Tutto Italia

Which would you choose, and why? Keep in mind, we live in Metro Atlanta and can get good Japanese and Italian here. I don't know about French :) except this little cafe where I eat lunch sometimes, but they do not do dinner!

The 2 TS that are in the running are

Cali Grill

Yachtsmans

Artist Point

Which would you choose, and why?

Or do you think we are idiots to cancel WCC to begin with?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

All the places you listed are better than WCC! ;)

If you have a good Japanese hibachi-style restaurant at home, the Teppan Edo experience will be exactly the same thing. The food is excellent, though. I've never been impressed with the Italian food anywhere in the World, so if your standards are high, you may want to skip Tutto. Which leaves Chefs de France, which I've never been to, or your 2 TS restaurants.

I would dump WCC and pick up CA Grill or AP. You could also get Giordano's delivered to your resort instead of driving there.

We dined at the WCC and really liked it, but that aside I would not choose Chefs de France. We dined there on our trip and it was not worth what the price is. I had only booked it for this trip to see Remy. JMHO

We dined last year at Tutto and found it to be Very Good
and we have very good authentic Italian food regularly (family owned business--
of Italians who are directly from Italy).
We are planning on eating there again on our next trip.

Also, if you look you will find negitive reviews about every Restaurant at WDW.
I would eat at a restaurant that you want to eat at and then you can say if it good or not.

Idiot is harsh, but I'd have probably kept Whispering Canyon ... that's just me though; to each their own. :confused3

I agree.. WCC is one of our favs...I say keep it. After all do you always agree with Movie Critics? probably not. so why base your choice of some critics. It's your trip do what you think you'll enjoy.

and to me Cal Grill is the most overrated resturant at Disney.
But if you do cancel I would go with Yatchmans.
Definately one of the top steaks at Disney.
(way better than also overrated LeCellier)

That's my opinoin.

My vote is to keep the WCC ressie. We eat there almost every trip and enjoy it so much. It's fun and I think the food is quite good.

As for the other options Teppan is very good; but as one already said not much different from here in ATL, but if your missing Japanese it's a good choice, and so is Yachtsman..

I would go with Teppan Edo. It was a surprising fun-favorite last year and we will be going there every year now.

A PP is right, there will always be bad reviews of every restaurant at Disney. Taste in food is so individual that it is really hard to say. What one person may love another will hate. It doesn't necessarily mean that the restaurant is bad, just that it is not for that person.

For instance, after looking at the menu I would not choose to eat at a place like California Grill because the food is just to "frou-frou" for me. I'm sure it is a good restaurant, but just not for me. On the other hand, I have heard people say that the steaks at LeCellier don't live up to the hype and have compared them to Outback or Longhorn. Well, I like those places so the steaks there sound good to me. For someone used to Ruth's Chris maybe they wouldn't enjoy this restaurant.

For what it's worth, I like WCC and also enjoyed Chefs on our last visit.

Good luck with your choices! Sometimes I think it might be easier to just close your eyes and point!;)

They all are good, but I would also keep WCC.

I never let a complete stranger's "review" of a restaurant deter me from trying it for myself first... unless of course it's a restaurant that gets 99.9% bad reviews (Capt Jacks). How do I know if we have the same taste, expectations, waiter, chef etc. It's all subjective.

My family had been going to WCC for years & never had a bad experience or meal. It's a lot of fun & good food. If you're looking for a quiet dinner though, then I understand changing. :)

We just did Teppan Edo last weekend and it was nothing to get excited about especially if you have a hibachi place at your home town...

WCC was horrible..we did that for lunch last weekend too...the food was terrible and there were no fun and games or silly antics going on

Chefs and Tutto are terrific, done both of these for lunch and dinner many times and the food is always wonderful!

Cali Grill...wowza this place is incredible.

Yachtsman, DH was not happy with this place at all

Artists Point, the menu doesnt wow us and we were at the WL Fri, Sat and Sun of last week and on Fri and Sat they had a ton of openings for AP...we sat in the bar for a bit and the entire restaurant was pretty much empty

We did WCC in 06 and it was AMAZING! Tried it again last year and it was HORRIBLE! If you are up for rolling the dice on the quality/enjoyment of your dinner, keep it, otherwise, I would choose something else.
