I am flying in to MCO and am staying for 9 days - I want to rent a car from Alamo. My problem is that I am taking this trip with 2 separate groups of people. One person (adult) is flying down with me but only staying 4 days and when I take them back to the airport to fly home another group is flying in. The second group includes a 4 year old child. The child will need a car seat. Do you think that I should make 2 separate reservations? I made a reservation for the entire trip and really hate to lose my 185.00 for a mid size for the entire 9 days but I don't want to haul around a car seat and pay for it for the 4 days that I don't need it.

Does anyone know if you can just pick up a car seat for the remaining 5 days and keep my existing reservation. Or should I get 2 reservations - 1 for the first group and 1 for the second group?

They were bring their umbrella stroller and trying to lug the suitcase, stroller and car seat at the airport on the other end was a little cumbersome - but I think that I will have them bring their car seat and I can buy an umbrella stroller for 15.00 -which is cheaper than the car seat rental anyway.

A lot of 4 year old's would only need a booster seat. You can bring one of the small ones that don't have a back and they don't take up a lot of extra room. If your friend doesn't have one you can pick one up at most stores for around $20.
