Evening, everyone!

I'm new to the boards, though not new to Disney (I'm a Floridian, though I just became an AP this year).

I'm going on a girls getaway later this fall to participate in the ToT 10-miler. We're not staying on-site for race weekend (a relative is kindly allowing us to utilize a timeshare in the area), but my friend and I discussed the possibility of extending our trip and we're looking into staying on-site for 2-3 days following the race weekend. I'm really excited as I have never stayed at WDW resort! Anyway, I'm hoping to find some insider tips and recommendations from you folks now until then.
