Hello all. This is a great board. I have gone to DL and WDW many times in the past. This August will be first time with my 3 1/2 yr old grand daughter.

Happy to meet you all.

:welcome: We brought our granddaughter with us for her first visit to Disney World last year when she was 7, and then again last May. Now we're planning for our third vacation with her included again, much more fun with a child along. So much good information here and the nicest people too!

Thanks you all so much. I did the Disney planning DVD and we were looking at Alladin;s Magic Carpet. My Grandaughter said "They arent magic, its a ride" - at 3 1/2.

Thank you al for making me feel so welcome

Well, its about 20 days until we leave for WDW.

We chose the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. There is DD, DSIL, and my grand daughter aged 3 1/2.

We'll be there 8/10-14 and are amped about this. My grand daughter is very into the Disney Princesses, especially Sleeping Beauty. We have her booked for the BBB experience as well as two princess character meals (Cinderella Castle breakfast and Akershaus lunch!).

A few weeks back, she overheard us planning and wanted to go to Disney NOW!!!. She was inconsolable until my daughter took her to where the three fairies live and where Cinderella lives (I live in Greenwich Village NYC, so she walked around and just substituted some nice brownstones.)

A few days later, she heard my grandaughter, saying to her sitter, in a very sad voice "... I was supposed to go to Disneyworld...)

I guess its hard for a 3 year old to comprehend its so many days off. But I know she will go wild when she sees that castle in the MK!!!!

I can understand with the child anxiety for Disney..I get that way myself..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

what I have done with my daughters is a count down calendar..they rip off pages I stapled together and put mickey stickers everyday on the calendar..
another experince that my dds enjoyed was Tea time with Alice in wonderland at 1900 Park Fare..the price is a bit steep but the experience is priceless. wishing you a great trip with the fam. .

Welcome! My mom who lives about 2 hours from WDW loves making it a point to join us at least one day during our Disney trips (or making sure we schedule a "Disney Day" while we're visiting her)! Have a great time!

Well she is all set up for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on our first day and two princess meals on the following day.

We're staying at the cabins at Fort Wilderness and renting a golf cart, so her Mom is calling it her "Princess Cart"
