We arrived Saturday and stayed at OKW in a studio, our first time for both. We received "welcome home" TWICE from the guy at the gate when we drove up. We checked in at 11:30 and our room was ready (got a "welcome home" from him as well), room 1413. Very close to the entrance. We stayed just one night (we had 36 points holding that had to be used so we decided to try OKW).
We checked in to BWV Sunday at 11:00 but our room wasn't ready. When we checked back at 5:00 of course it was, but we had reserved a 1-br standard and they upgraded us to preferred(they are at capacity right now, so they say - the woman checking in next to us was also upgraded to a preferred view, though she was paying cash). You may be thinking, how lucky, but we actually like standard view! We were given room 5014; we took a look and decided we didn't like the LONG walk to the room for a "preferred" view of the Swan/Dolphin. We called to ask for a std view room, she pretended to check availability then told me there was nothing available. We decided to try the front desk, figuring face to face would work better. We were right! They changed us to a std view room on the third floor. Yeah!
By the way, the preferred view room didn't have a balcony off the master br, another negative as we've always had two balconies....
When we got to our new room at BWV, we finally felt like we were home. The weather has been beautiful (especially today - 74 degrees and sunny) and even though it's EXTREMELY crowded, we are having a great time. Looking forward to spending NYE at Epcot watching extended Illuminations.
