Hello from Utah

I've been lurking on this board for a while and decided that I'd finally join. My DW and I are planning a trip to Disneyland this August and are excited as it will be our first trip to Disneyland in over 4 years, and the first with our brand new DS. We are going w/ my DW's family who have NEVER been to Disneyland (or Disney World) ever, so it'll be a fun experience. Anywho, just figured I would give a shout out and say hello to all of you out there.

Sounds like an exciting trip coming up for you and your family. I haven't been to Disneyland since I was 15. That was, ahem, a few years ago. Have you ever been to WDW? Congrats on the new DS!

I went to WDW back in 2003 with my family. We were supposed to go again this month, but some unexpected expenses came up elsewhere and we decided to shelf that trip for a few years and just go to DL instead.

I loved WDW when I went and really want to take my wife out there to experience it with her, but with DL only a 12-hour drive it's a lot more affordable to make that trip (been there 5 times not counting this upcoming trip).

Hi neighbor!

I saw the "Hello from Utah" when I opened up the Dis today and thought I'd stop by and say ! (We live in Cougar territory.)

I hope you guys have a great trip to Disneyland! It's great having it close enough for a quick Disney fix, and with some of the new stuff going on there--the Soundsational Parade to be exact--it's a great time to go. Happy planning!

TY. I lived in Provo four a few years while I was going to school there. Unfortunately, I am no longer in the friendly confines of "Happy Valley". Though there are still many Cougar faithful up here.

It'll be fun to go to DL this summer to check out the new things going on. As it's been 4 years since I've been there have been a few changes since I last went. Unfortunately, I don't like the rumor that the Matterhorn will be closed while I'm there (especially bummed for my wife's family who has never been and won't be able to experience this classic ride). It'll be a fun trip, though. I'll have to go back in a couple years, though, when Cars Land is done.
