We are stopping for coffee and a break. We wanted to drive through here and see the elk (we did) and then continue on a loop through the national park back to Georgetown, CO. The road was closed due to excess snow so we had to backtrack.

The elk are beautiful. They make the funniest sounds though. They were walking through the streets of Estes Park, quite a challenge to drive in that little tourist trap.

At any rate, we had a wonderful meet in Denver. I met tc and her dh Stephen, Esmerelda 52 and ColoradoBuffMom. Steve (Disneycub) didn't make it :(

I love meeting other DISers and we did a lot of talking and laughing over lunch :) I'm so glad to finally meet some Colorado DISers :bounce:

We are going to start back towards civilization and try to find a motel along the way (nothing available in Estes Park during Elk fest ;) )

Then we will start back towards Michigan tomorrow AM.

Night :)

 Hi Katholyn.:) Greetings from my kitchen in Georgia.:) Glad you had a great time.:)

Hi Katholyn,

one of my sisters' has inlaws in Estes Park!

It's a small small world ;)

Glad you had fun, have a safe trip home! :)

It was so great meeting everyone today. Like tc, I too, was worried about meeting everyone but boy were my concerns for nothing. Everyone was so wonderful. We had lots of fun chatting, laughing and eating.

Katholyn, have a safe trip back!

Elise

I am so sorry I missed the meet :( I was suppose to take my DD to a Girl Scout Hayride and was going to try and make it back in time but instead, I spent the day sick in bed.

I was able to spend time with Kath yesterday and we had a very short 3 hour lunch! It was wonderful :)

I am so glad you all had a great time. :)

Sounds like a great DIS meet and time you are having in general out there, Kath. Enjoy, and thanks for the update.

I'm glad everyone had a good time. Hearing about the trip makes me homesick :(

Thank you for such a good time! I will definitly start looking into the Dolphin for my next trip in Sept and you really got me thinking about a cruise the following year. It was so nice to finally put names to faces of fellow DISers. Linda

I had a really great time on Saturday. Katholyn is so nice, as well as Linda, Elise and George. They didn't think I was a nerd (at least I don't think they did). Esmerelda51 (Linda) gave me a white feather boa (see my tag). Hes, now I can do that back up singing as discussed.

We were at PF Changes for over 2 hours (maybe 3), and talked adn laughed. I really want to go on a Disney cruise after hearing Katholyn's stories.

I am so sorry Kelsie and Steve (Disneycub) couldn't make it. It was well worth the stress before hand.

Funny story. Linda, Elise, Stephe and I were sitting outside the restaurant talking and waiting for Katholyn. It got to be 15 after, and no sign of her and George. Finally, a woman came out and yelled, "Is there someone named Kelli out here?" I said it was me. It was Katholyn. She was sitting not far from us outside, then went in to get a table. She didn't recognize me from my pic in my sig (I didn't think I'd changed that much  ) She had been sitting inside thinking that she'd been stood up, poor thing. But, all's well that ends well.

Thanks for a great lunch.

tc if you had been wearing shorts I probably would have recognized you ;) But you looked different in that sweatshirt.

We had a ball, didn't we? I had so much fun talking with everyone. Lucky for us, tc's dh is Disney impaired just like my dh, so we sat them together across the table from us while we DISed in person :teeth:

We missed you Kels and I have no idea what happened to Steve, last I heard he was definitely going to meet us at PF Chang's

This really doesn't have much to do with your post, but my maiden name was Estey. Wonder if there is some kind of connection?

Glad you're having a great time, Katholyn!!!

Hey, when you have a minute go check out the huge hotel right there (they used it in The Shining). I used to go there all the time and listen to Ron Trotta, a piano player.:D

That area is so-o-o beautiful, esp in the Fall!
