Hello Everyone, TGV Question.

First off, hello everybody I have read this board for a while (since my last trip to DLRP in november) and have found it great!

Anyway it is my Fiancée's birthday in october and i decided to surprise her with another trip to DLRP, 6 nights, 7 days HNY 6-12 october.

Now for my question... I was wondering if it is difficult getting from terminal 1 in CDG to terminal 2 so we can take the TGV to the park.

I know we can get the VEA shuttle, but niether of us have been on the tgv before, and since it only takes 12 minutes or so, it sounds very impressive.

Hi Ian,

Its not difficult to get to terminal 2 TGV departures from terminal 1, so long as you don't have a lot of suitcases to lug about.

You also need to be aware that yes, the journey time on the TGV is only 10 minutes or so, but the TGV is not as frequent as the VEA, and so you may end up arriving at DLRP later than if you had taken the VEA - so its a good idea to check both timetables before you decide which method of transport to take.

From terminal 1 baggage carousels and exit, you follow the signs for for the CDGVal. This is the free internal train service within CDG, it calls at all terminals, and runs every 10-15 minutes. You get off at terminal 2, then you need to go down 2 levels to the TGV departures area.

Thanks for the information DLPdaft, i know the vea is more frequent but its more for the experience really, and i hate buses with a passion

I do use the TGV, but on the return from DLRP to CDG - as it gives me a good hour more in the parks over the VEA .

Having said that, you are going for a good long stay - so getting to your hotel/the parks on your first day it probably won't matter if the TGV gets you there a little later than the VEA would.
