Ok,

You may know I'm a bit of a points tart, chasing anything that will give me rewards and that will help me travel First class on a third class budget...

Here are a few sites I use to inform, entertain and just feed my need of having to know everything:surfweb:

www.flyertalk.com
www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
www.boardingarea.com
www.delta.com
www.ausbt.com.au
www.awardwallet.com
www.e-miles.com

Now remember, alot of these are for usa credit cards, but sign up for the hotel programs,ie Hilton, Hyatt etc as they are world wide.....and start your mattress runs.

You can then use alot of these hotel points to transfer to airline programs
ie: priority club points 10,000 transfer to 25 Air New Zealand dollars.

So start studying, there will be a test later:dance3:

Reading intently my fair lady, I have so much to learn ;)

Just changed over to a credit card with more earning capacity :thumbsup2, best thing? It doesn't cost me anything to have :thumbsup2

Also make my DH buy all his fuel at a certain servo which earns us more points and costs us nothing as it's an employee Diners account which he also earns points on, we're getting a bit more savvy :goodvibes

I have signed myself and the fam up for velocity and United's one and I think Priority Club. I just gotta work out what to do with the pints etc.

the guys on this site are hard core and know just about every way to wring every value out of their points...enjoy.....

dont forget to sign up the kids as well.....

also car hire programs..even disney cruise line has frequent flyer club....if its a USA company, it will have a loyalty program..

i'm a pirate pirate:

Great post!

For anyone with an iPhone or iPad, Award Wallet also has a handy app to help keep track of those points and membership numbers while out and about.

so true..i love award wallet
they do updates every couple of minutes to check your balances....fantastic:thumbsup2
saves having to keep them written down somewhere

does anyone else have some sites I havent mentioned????
Do sharepopcorn::

Oh tell me about this Karen - we have yet to book a vehicle for the holiday and we are paid up on the DCL cruise.

Disney cruise line castaway club
http://www.********************/cruise/more/castawayclub.html

you dont need to sign up, just have to cruise once already with them...

depends on who you get your car hire with, just sort your hire and join their program, also check and see if your credit card will get points, or if you can transfer to an airline program ie delta/ united etc.

also with hotels, always sign up for their program

www.awardwallet.com will help you keep track of all these.

have i missed anything?????

I too am learning, so if you have hints, tips etc pls let me know...pirate:

My name is ame and I am a frequent flyer junkie. I focus on maximising my allegiance to the Virgin corporation for maximum benefit to myself and family :lmao: It has certainly reaped rewards and flying is now a pleasant exercise for our family of six. We are very well looked after ;)

You've covered the sites that I use. If I need to buy something, I always check if I can get points somewhere for buying it at the price I want. But.. there's also an art to redemption and the timings and way to you redeem is as important as *earning* them.

She books flights just to keep her status, they holiday every 6 months :scared1:
