Well the October 2020 trip is now an October 2022 trip.

we've done WDW twice instead- most recently used Genie+ for 5 days.

I used to be so deep on the Disneyland side of these boards. But we all know what happened.

we've booked courtyard theme park entrance for 6 nights. 4 park days, no hopper, and plan to do oogie boogie bash. Couple questions for the group:

1. park hopper: we used to always get it at Disneyland. But I found at WDW we liked staying in one park (yes I know they are far away at WDW). We also almost always take a midday break so with the afternoon park hopper time I'm just not sure it's the best use of our $$. We could use that money for genie+ and some $LL selections..

2. Is there anything I need to do this far out? I can't make park reservations until June right? So for now it's just chill and start reading the boards..

3. We found plenty of magic at WDW.. is there magic still around at Disneyland?

2.) Just keep reading strategies. I would expect things to change quite a bit between now and when you can make your reservations. Make sure you book reservations as soon as you can, including for dining.

3.) It depends on what you like. Marvel land has some cool minishows if you like that type of thing. There will likely be more entertainment by then. Navigating ride lines will be different because they should have Genie+ and LL by then.

On your Boogie Bash day I recommend having a Disneyland ticket for the day and don't go to DCA until after the mix in. The mix in is one of the worst times to be in the park. If you are opting to not have a ticket on that day, I'd still wait until the party starts to enter the park unless the crowds and lines don't bother you. They exhaust me and my travelmates and we enjoy the party much more without having been in the crowds/lines before the party.

1. I am a diehard PH person - we get them at WDW, too. In your case, OBB might make me think that no hoppers is ok because you could do 3 days at DL, one of those being OBB at night, and 1 day at DCA. I think that would work for me, personally. I wouldn't want to do a 4 day with 2/2 DL/DCA split. DCA isn't a 2 full day park for me. It's more like a maybe 1 full day with some other visits sprinkled in, mostly because GOTG is my second favorite ride after Space.

2. Your trip is so far out, I expect (hope?) that things will be very different by then.

3. I mean, I went to DLR this past June and found plenty of magic there then. So maybe I'm not the right person to ask...
