Hello all! 1st family vacation to WDW June 29th-July 5th!

I have found SO many tips on this board already and am SO excited to be going to WDW with my family. My husband and I went together in 1999 but now we get to bring our 8 and 4 year olds to enjoy this magical place!

Wondering why I can't post in other sections of this board. My youngest daughter is 40 inches tall but I've heard that their measuring sticks are sometimes set higher - especially the one for Soarin'... should I be worried? I would really love to take her on Splash Mountain and Soarin'.

My 4 year is probably 38-39 1/2 inches technically (when measured barefooted.) Make sure your 4 year old wears sneakers and stands up straight and you should be ok. We were able to ride, Soarin, Splash Mtn, and Thunder Mtn. She was a DAREDEVIL!!!! She loved them all and cried for more! The only 40 inch ride she didn't get a pass on was Dinosaur (in Animal Kingdom), and after having ridden it myself... I'm glad she didn't make the cut. IT WAS WAY TOO INTENSE... and I'm 44!

Likewise on the height restriction for soarin': my just-40" daughter (6 yrs old actually! A real peanut!) made it on both Soarin and BTM railroad with no problems and loved them both! Wouldn't do Splash though!
