Day #2 of our holiday adventure began with breakfast at our resort's own Whispering Canyon Cafe'. I would give it a 6 out of 10. I ordered the skillet. The food was fine, nothing spectacular. It took forever to get our food and our waitress was not into character very much at all. Overall, it was ok. I'd eat there again only if staying at WL. I would not make a special trip for it.
Then it was off to Disney-MGM Studios. This park turned out to be our family's favorite this trip. We all really enjoyed Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Play It! None of us got in the hot seat, but it sure was fun anyway. I rode Tower of Terror for the first time and it is now one of my favorites. The Great Movie Ride and the 4-D Muppet Show are always on our favorites list. Also experience the One man's Dream attraction. It was a neat experience and the movie was definitely a highlight.
We had ressies at 4 PM for 50s Prime Time Cafe'. It was a wonderful experience and the 2nd best dining experience we had. Our server, "Uncle Dale", went above and beyond in making it an immersive experience. I had the fried chicken for an entree and it was above average. All had desserts, and all were great. Uncle Walt's Sundae was awesome and my cousin loved his PB&J shake. What made it, however, was the attention to details by Uncle Dale. Thanks for the pixie dust, Uncle Dale!
We finished off the day with Fantasmic! and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. We arrived 45 minutes early, just as a downpour came. I got in a mile long line for a poncho. This caused us to get a lousy seat for the show. This was my first time seeing Fantasmic! and even with the bad seats I found it captivating. It's my favorite park closer now and next time I will be sure to get a better seat. After this, we were already tired and the walk across the park to the Osborne Lights didn't help. Still, wouldn't have missed it. Did enjoy it.
Finished up the night by returning to WL and sitting in the lobby, in front of the Christmas tree, drinking hot chocolate. How relaxing after a long day!
Side notes: Wish the park had closed later than 7PM...made everything seem rushed.
