Four weeks from today at this time I will be finishing up do anything that needs to be done before hitting the road to go to Disneyland!!

Lists, lists, lists....lists are begging to be done. Today is my DH and my 23rd wedding anniversary. He had to work so I'm at home bored while my kids do their own things. Kacy was sitting with me but, she's going to kickback for awhile and Kody is busing typing away. Knowing her she's writing a story. Loren is upstairs showering before he cooks us a special dinner. Kacy died my hair for me this weekend. As I'm sure you can see from my avatar photo. I'm calling it sea hag blue on the back and bottom parts.

I put a luggage tag that I received as a gift from a friend on the luggage I got from my DH for our anniversary. If I had a larger wardrobe I would start my packing. I'm in tune for the trip and ready to go. Two weeks from tomorrow DH, Loren and my nephew Ryan leave to go on a three day backpacking trip. It should be interesting. It's their first. We've camped but, they've never backpacked. They're going to Point Reyes National Seashore so it should be a lot of fun for them and quiet for us.

The girls and I go next on this trip which will be 9/13-9/19. I'm looking so forward to it. I'll miss everyone at home but, I need a break from the daily things. In November we say bonvoyage to my mom who is going on her first cruise. Her and her best friend are going on a Princess Cruise down the California coast. They're very excited! I really hope they have a good time! I'm glad to see my mom having fun! So, now I'm off to actually work on these lists that are begging to be written.

Yay! For lists! I am a huge list maker and early packer. I do have a lot of clothes and I have clothes that I wear mainly at Disney so it is fairly easy for me to get things done early. I am super excited about your trip and it is getting so close!!!! I am nervous for our Halloween trip. Since I am wearing my costume to work I have to go home and pack it quickly as we will be leaving that night or early the next morning. Yay for your mom and her cruise. I am sure she will enjoy herself.

I have some clothes that are just for the trip, but one of them is my dress that I don't want to pack. I'm going to borrow a friends garment bag. I have that and my Ursula outfit which I'm saving to wear for the first time in DCA. I made a list yesterday of what I'm wearing which day. Oh the things you do when you're bored. You are going to be rushing around that day for sure. I'm sure she will too. She's just nervous about the weather because of all the El Niño thoughts.

January is usually "the" rainy month but, who knows? I hope for you that it misses you.

The last big El Niño in the late 1990's was strongest from January thru March.

Thats good to know I was still in school so i dont think I really paid attention to it.

It could be different but I will tell you that in January 1994 it rained for some portion of every day. I remember it well because my husband worked at a car wash at the time. He worked zero days that month. The one around 1998 I had 3 little kids that were all toddlers and stuck inside all the time. January to March they stood in from of our backdoor watching the rain and begging to be allowed to play outside.

Pretty sure I did. So how are things going? Did you feel the earthquake yesterday. For some crazy reason we did not feel anything and live close to where it happened. wierd I know.

They're going. I really need this vacation bad. Oddly we didn't feel it either. I was out and about running errands so I think that may have been why I didn't feel it. Nobody felt it at home either. I think that we all got lucky.

Today I'm hoping to get back to bow making. I need to go to someplace that sells fabric to see if I can find some red fabric with black polka dots to make a different Francis hair bow for Kody. I don't like the one I already made.

Yes, but I have to go to Vacaville to check to see if they have any now. The smoke is better here in Fairfield and my lungs are feeling better. If I go to Vacaville it will get worse again.

That is no fun, we have had a lor of haze here too from the smoke. So bad for my asthma.

That's it for me. My inhaler doesn't even touch it. I've been taking half of a Primatene tablet every 4 hours.

Yeah, I have been hitting th QVAR and Albuterol pretty hard when the heat hit and brought the smoke.

We have a bit of a west wind today so I think it's going to be better. Thank goodness.
