Tomorrow we can start making our meal reservations. I'm so excited. Kacy, Kody and I have been poring over where we want to eat. We are usually counter service eaters, one reason is I hate my budget to be literally eaten up. We definitely want to eat at Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans. So, I'm doing that tomorrow. So exciting! It's getting so much closer!

It's that time, time to write another pre trip report!! Yay!!

The cast of characters are:

Myself, Michele your guide for this bumpy ride. Sorry about the picture size. Photobucket is being a pain extraordinary!

Kody who is my major Peter Pan and fairy fan. Well, really anything Disney!!

And last but certainly not least Kacy. She is the true architect of this trip and the best souvenir I ever got from Disneyland.

This trip originally was supposed to happen in February but it got postponed. Then we were going to go on a Disney cruise and a whirlwind visit to WDW. But, due to health reasons we had to cancel that trip and put the effort back into a Disneyland trip. Frankly, I don't know about my girls but I maybe more excited for this Disneyland trip than I was was for any of the others.

When:
We are going to go September 13th thru September 19th. We are there for Dapper Day!! So excited for that. Our original trip was for that also so I guess this is a gift that we got back. I can hardly wait. So many plans are going into what to wear!!

Where:
There was really never any doubt. We were able to throw that cruise money into a 6 night stay at the Disneyland Hotel where it all began!! The last time we stayed here as a family it was in 2007 and I was extremely ill and I was planning what I thought was our last family vacation. It's funny how those things change. Here we are 8+ years down the road and we are going back.

There has already been so much planning going on that it's crazy. One of the big ones when you are going for Dapper Day is you need the right clothes to wear. I'm a big girl so I figure that I want to dress in a way that fits the big girl side of me. I am Disney bounding as Ursula. I ordered myself some purple leggings and a black shirt with a handkerchief hem. I am going to bling it up a bit. Add a bit of myself to it. Kacy bought me a bow she and Kody found at Hot Topic that is absolutely perfect.

If I didn't already have an outfit planned I would definitely plan from this.

I usually bring my runners plus Teva flip flops but ended bringing a pair of black flats to go with my dress for the 17th. I used to wear Crocs but my suitcase only has so much room!

We are usually counter service people too but this trip, we decided to make ressies at Cafe Orleans (first time), Big Thunder BBQ, Minnie's Plaza, Ariel's, Carnation Cafe (first time), Blue Bayou (WOC) and Carthay Circle (first time). Going to be an expensive eating trip! Especially with the US exchange rate . It is very exciting to be able to make reservations tomorrow, it just means that your trip is getting closer!

We are all packed and ready for our 6:30 am flight tomorrow but I just can't get to sleep yet! LOL

Thank you! The bows have been a lot of fun! I love the idea of Disney Bounding. It's the closet a grown up can get to playing dress up. I think all of us have things in our closets or dressers that will work for it too. I have one day where I won't be DBing because I just can't think of one to do with my clothes. I may make a bow to DB with.

The first day I'm wearing black capris with a purple shirt. Now I need to decide if I will wear a Maleficent or an Evil Queen bow. I'm not sure what park we're doing the second day but if it's Disneyland it will definitely be Cruella day. I have an adorable shirt with her on it. I just need to make a bow. My original choice had been Dalmatian fabric but I couldn't find any. So, I think I'm going to make a split black and white one. Not sure of how yet. On DCA day I just don't know about who I might bound that day. I just kind of had an inspiration on a Jessie bow. So we shall see. Ursula is already covered and I have a bow I made for Vanessa but I'm not sure it's my choice. Tomorrow is fabric store day so bows may just abound!

It was awesome in the parks yesterday. Was a bit worried about getting in early but we walked thru security and the gates and was on Main Street by 6:45 - they let us onto the rides at 7 so that was a nice surprise. Went on Space and Star Tours and then found a bench in Towne Square where I sat and people watch until the speech at 10. DD had fun lining up to meet the characters while I admired all the people who dressed for the occasion. There were some really neat and original dressing. We took some photos of us with some of the special 60th signs but since I can't get the Disboards on my phone, I can’t post any photos but I will do a trip report once I get home.

Today, we ahad lunch at Ariel's and DD disneybounded as Ariel and I went as Ursula. It was a lot of fun! Lots of people disneybound and they are very creative!

How could I forget? I made another ADR today. On 9/16 we are eating at Cafe Orleans. The reason didn't make one for 9/15 is because we will be eating at White Water Snacks. Kody and I are both major fans of their nachos. Yummy!
