Heated car seat covers?

Wondering if anyone has one of these and if so what kind do you have and does it really work. I found one at brookstone.com but it is $80 and just wondering if it really works!! Thanks!!

I saw some at an Auto place but the guy said it was the kind you plug into the cig lighter (like the car heaters they used to have) and they were causing electrical fires, so he wasn't able to sell it?? I couldn't fiqure how else they could heat.

A couple years ago, i googled car seat heater and found a company that sold them -- they plug into the lighter. It works fantastic. I hate cold seats.

I bought Dr Scholl's that use a lighter outlet. They work great. I think I paid $30 for the pair off HSN or QVC a few years ago. Toasty and quick too.

I recently got one at Target for around $12 (on clearance). I was intending to use it at work, but got hooked on using it in the car before the seat heater made it to my desk. It's great to have around. I think mine is Homedics brand, and can be used either in the car (via the lighter plug) or via an outlet.

I think one was in our Sears ad today, think it was for $20. I was debating on this for my mother, she is constantly cold and complains about her heater. (This is the woman who sleeps with an electric blanket in the summer. Everything is cold.)

Darn it, I just got back from picking this up at Kohls and only saved 15%. Oh well, 15% is better than nothing, and now I know I'll have it for DH for Christmas.
