Heartbreaking news about the W. Va coal miners

I had hoped against hope that somehow the last 4 had made their way to one of the safety chambers and survived........how sad that wasn't to be the case. The remaining men were found dead just a little bit ago.

Prayers to their families and to the whole community. Such dangerous work for those people.

I was also hoping they had made it to the rescue shelter. One of them went to school with my younger brother and had an infant, I believe it was a daughter. Very, very tragic.

DH said that they are sure that the 4 had died in the initial blast. I see that as a blessing that they weren't down there waiting and waiting only for no help to come. Still though...just so incredibly heartbreaking.

I agree. It is horrible all the way around but at least they didn't suffer for days.

It's absolutely disgusting. This is all greed. The mine owners value dollars over the worker's safety. How many more tragedies will there be before they finally crack down on these mine owners?
