Healthier option at 50s Prime Time Cafe?

We have never eaten at 50s PT Cafe and have a dinner reservation for June 4th during SWWs. Are there any healthier options on the menu? I recently read the thread about the sampler plate, which does not appeal to me at all (the portion size/fried food scared me :scared1:).

I found this on the menu, which looks relatively harmless. Has anyone had it?

Uncle Dana's Artichoke and Risotta Agnolotti - Pearl pasta with roasted zucchini and crookneck squash with a spicy tomato broth - $16.99

I try not to be an over the top health nut while on vacation, but heavy/fatty foods and heat do not sit well with me. TIA!

When we ate there, I was hoping I could get the grilled chicken sandwich that they offer on their lunch menu for dinner. The waiter told me no --so I just about got the pasta dish, but just wasn't sure about the sauce. There is nothing on the menu that is healthy..I went with the fried chicken and just pulled the skin off. I held the gravy on the mashed potatoes and it was a delicious meal.

Are you going for lunch or dinner?

If you're going for lunch, the chicken sandwich is a great option. It comes with a side caesar salad.

I got a pork tenderloin dish there a few years ago, but I'm not sure if it is still on the menu.

We went for lunch and my Mom got the seafood salad if I remember correctly.

She sounds similar to you- She doesn't eat fried foods or red meat EVER. She's quite picky (healthy wise) because lots of foods bother her stomach.

My father-in-law loved the chicken noodle soup. And they have a lettuce wedge. However, they also will work with you on what you want. I also looked at the kid's menu and they have a grilled fish of the day on there. I would ask about anything they could grill for you. Look at all the sides dishes on every offering and you can mix and match those too.

I know 50s Prime Time is very good with helping diners even without calling in ahead of time. We had a vegetarian friend join us for lunch and she asked for the turkey sandwich without the turkey. Which led the server to reel off four different vegetarian selections. My friend ended up with a veggie burger and fries.

You can get an adult portion of something on the kids menu. My DS got the biggest bowl of mac and cheese I have ever seen! So, if the grilled kids fish looks good to you, then you can get a larger portion (at a larger price, of course!)

I had the "Uncle Dana's Artichoke Agnolotti" at lunch in September. I'm a healthy eater and of all the entrees, that one sounded like the healthiest. It was good. I could not taste the artichoke in the filling, definitely tasted the ricotta. There was a lot of yellow squash. The weird thing is that it was ravioli, served over pasta (like a pearl couscous). So, pasta on pasta. But it was tasty - the tomato broth was good- and not too heavy. I think it's probably one of the better options there. I don't do fried chicken nor meatloaf and my DH's pot roast looked succulent, but definitely heavier and more calorie-laden.
