Heads Up! Delta flights on sale!

We can get flights from Louisville for $96 round trip. That is a steal (even with taxes at $124). We need 11 tickets so the savings really add up. However, there are no direct flights and the return flights are at 5:30 AM. I think I am going to wait for a sw sale.

Get on now. :) They have a GREAT sale for 3 days. Must book by the 4th. But I noticed our original price dropped by $125 a ticket. :)

*Faint*

Wow... if only we were going this year! We could fly for cheaper than we could drive at this sale price! It would be $496 for our family to fly IND to MCO. Driving we'd be at at least $300 in gas, $300 in hotels on the way there and back and all the food and stuff involved in a two day drive each way.

Good deal for people who haven't booked yet!

I have all but given up checking flights out of SDF ... things have gotten so high, we fly out of LEX now. I'll have to check this out!! :)

Hey everybody - I was working out prices for our anniversary trip in October. I just booked round-trip Delta tickets for about a third of the price they were yesterday. I booked through Orbitz, but the Delta website had them at the same price. Less than $100 for round-trip to Orlando!

I just thought I'd let you guys know. I hope this helps somebody out!

I am so upset! I saw the deal, went to load money (we use prepaid credit cards) and came back to book it..it was gone!! Would only have been $496 for our 4 rt tix!!! AAAGGGHHHH!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this, whits_end! Our 4 flights were going to cost us ~$1200, but we were able to get our airfare for $490!

Thank you!:thanks:

I'm glad I could help a few people. My husband and I are all booked and ready to go Oct. 1! I'm already packing in my head!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Wow - those are some good prices. In Mpls we're always screwed because Delta has such a monopoly:mad: Avg Delta nonstop flights to anywhere in Fla tend to be at least 300 bucks. I just say, oh well. Free dining paid for our flights.

i need this to hold on for one more week when i'll have $$$, lol. cvg is always so expensive and this is great!!

Thank you so much for posting this, last night I was able to get our flights on Delta from SDF for $124 with taxes per person, it has been years since I have seen airfare this low from Louisville. I noticed today the same flight is $238, I also changed our PIN room discount to the free dining pkg. WOOHOO!!!

checked earlier today and flights were $122 with taxes. I just checked again and they are back up at $240.:confused3

If it makes you feel any better, you might not have been able to book the flight anyway. I was not on the boards last night and when I found out this morning, I went to the Delta site, selected my flights, selected my seats, entered all the billing info, etc, then when I got to the last page to confirm, it said "Sorry, the price has changed." I called Delta, but they would not honor the price even though it was still showing up on their website.:sad2:

I got Delta for 246.00 from Portland,Me to Orlando with only a short layover each way.

Could have gotten cheaper from Boston, but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive plus paying for long term parking.

Plus I am taking a 4 year old. More money = less hassles....

I was able to score a 6 a.m. flight which means i shall be in Orlando at 1:10 p.m., god willing....

just checked on the flights we were thinking of and they went from 328 to 418!! we may have to do the 14 hr drive at this rate. Can't book air yet as DH is not assured of dates off yet and can't afford to lose the airfare, can always cancel room reservations.

They had a great rate out of Baton Rouge today, for Dec. 20 - 27!!! Total for 4 was just under $800.

That would save us $1000.00 compared to flying out of our hometown of Lafayette, and all we would have to do is drive 1 hour away.

I just checked prices from Atlanta for October and it was close to $300 ...makes no sense

I checked my flight info and our departure flight is 7am (land at 10:02). We return to Boston on a 6:10 pm flight (land in Boston at 9:06pm). Both are direct flights.

I was a little off-the per person price was $202. Plus $14 tax brings the total to $216 per person. Not as great as what I originally thought we booked at, but still ok I guess. I know when we first started looking into flights they were $196 but that changed daily.

We have a similar flight - ours is direct flight out of CT for $189 each, including taxes (bought back in Feb). It will be the 1st time our kids fly and we wanted to make it as simple as possible.

In 2008, we drove to WDW - 3 kids, 21hrs with no overnight stops - just bathroom breaks, gas and food stops. But it wasn't as bad as it sounds - it was actually as easy drive.

But for this trip our kids asked if we could fly instead - because they never have before. So I watched airfare for a couple months before we agreed to fly. Our local airport's prices stayed close to $400 with a couple hours layover for every flight.

Anyway, with 5 of us, it is well worth the drive to CT to catch a flight (financially and sanity-wise)!!
