Is it warm enough to go swimming? Should I include shorts also? I have only been there in June and it was horrible. Just like to know so if I need to pick up some more shorts from the stores clearance racks. Thanks, Jen

I live 3 hours south of WDW and it gets cold here so Orlando is much colder. I would say 30-40 at night and 50-60 in the day.

We are going Jan 21-25 and this is the reason why, better weather and lower crowds!

Thanks, wow I didn't think it would be that cold during the day. Guess I don't have to worry about packing shorts. Maybe I should change my reservations back to March like I originally had. Thanks Jen

Hey Jenny Wren! Thinking of going to Disney in January? Come on over to our Snowbirds thread! There's a whole big goup of us going at various times in January! We are having lots of fun chatting and planning together! Come on over and check it out! The thread is called Calling all Snowbirds - January 2009 Part II - it is usually one of the top 3 threads on the countdowns and live reports board! You are more than welcome to join us! :goodvibes

We have gone 3 times in January and the weather can fluctuate a great deal. It usually isn't humid but it rained 1 to 2 days all 3 trips and can be windy. Temps were anywhere from 50 to 85. I went to Blizzard Beach one year and was cool but comfortable. So my advice is to bring a wide range of clothes and bring your swimsuit.

It depends where you are originally from. Honestly we went swimming when no one else would go the last two January's we went. We were the only ones in the Poly pool once and and only a few of two handfuls at the Swan?dolphin pool. For us 60's is fine for swimming and we would wear shorts. Hell it is 48 degrees out and I am wearing a sweatshirt right now. So it really depends on what you are used to! I do always bring a winter outfit for that time of year and what I consider Fall clothing, and a t-shirt or two and a pair or two shorts for a week visit. Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone for the help. I am seriously thinking about changing my plans and go in March. Although I had a friend that went last year in the beginning of Feb, it was in the lower 80s. I am hoping that my luck doesn't follow the usually path and it rain. Everytime I plan something, cookouts, parties, etc.. It rains, not only drizzle, pours. That would really suck to spend all this money and it rain. I guess I better pick up some ponchos also for the trip and umbrelllas. Thanks all, Jen:thumbsup2
