Heading to Cali on Friday for a week

Well, the countdown is almost over and we are heading to california bright and early on Friday morning. We are regular Florida vacationers but I couldn't get away in February (our typical traveling week) so we moved to April and then i spotted a weekly rental at the Marriott Newport beach villa's for the same week we had off so we're going. I'm interested to see how california will compare to Florida (which we know so well). I know it won't be as warm but it looks sunny. We don't have a firm schedule but the kids are excited. We'll see how it goes.

The best part for me is no humidity

There is a lot to see and do in SoCal. Have a great trip!!

Cali is RAD! I moved here year ago from Florida, and absolutely love love love it, especially the Newport Beach area. It's definitely a different type of place - cliffs, tide pools, cool, non-humid days evenings

The weather should be great. It's a bit cooler here, but generally sunny, so it balances out. Wear layers, and you'll be good

California is not nearly as hot as Florida in late spring and summer. The beaches stay cooler as does water temp. Inland at places like Disneyland it can get hot and humid but nothing compared to Disneyworld!!

Late spring and summer is not Californias rainy season as it is in Florida but it does rain at times. Driest months would be June and July.

Beaches can get packed on the weekends and parking near the beach is impossible on such days. Weekdays are great, low crowds.
