Hi All,
It's our first trip to Aulani, and actually our first trip to Hawaii for that matter. I'm an early bird and I enjoy getting up very early and taking walks with my coffee. Can anyone recommend where to pick up coffee first thing, and suggestions on where to take the best early morning walks on the resort or nearby?

Any other helpful advice is appreciated as well. We like to hike. And relax. Aloha!

There will be a coffee maker in your room. Walk down to the beach and along the lagoon towards the other resorts. Beautiful!

We loved going to Island Vintage Coffee across the street a couple mornings. Their acai bowls were awesome too.
We also loved walking the sidewalk by the other resorts. And sunrise at the lagoon by paradise cove was gorgeous.
Enjoy your trip!!! You will love it!

I like the lattes they make at aulani in the morning at the bar next to adult pool. I can't remember what it's called. And the walk along the lagoons is spectacular. When you are there the four seasons next door might be open to non guests. I would guess they have a good coffee place. And it is a very pretty place to explore if you can get in--we did at night when we were there in may.

Just for ease, DH and I got the refillable mugs and got coffee at Ulu most mornings. (It's the only place to get coffee in those mugs, everywhere else it's soft drinks / lemonade.) Coming from the Ewa tower, it was nice to walk over to Ulu. It opens at 6:30, if that's early enough. You can walk part of the way along the beach in front of the Four Seasons. I'm not sure how far you are allowed to go normally, as they were filming promotional videos for the Four Seasons when we were there and had the path blocked off. If you go in the opposite direction along the beach, you can walk toward the large grassy area along the ocean and onto the man-made rock shore. Very, very pretty area. Probably not the best for sunrise, b/c it's a sunset look-out point, but still - very very nice to walk around. And you can get some awesome photos of the entire Aulani resort area from there.

There is a walking path that goes around all of the lagoons at the neighboring resorts, beautiful!

We're headed to Aulani on Sunday and my 3-year old and I are early birds too - DH and the 12-week old baby, not so much. So we might bump into you wandering around the resort in the early hours! I'll be the one with the bucket of coffee...

We travel from Maryland, and believe me, 6:30 is late to me! I'm up at 5:00 or so at home daily, so sleeping until 4am in Hawaii is sooooo late! Lots of folks are up walking the lagoons right before sunrise; I have my coffee then go for a walk and watch the sun come up often.

I'd make my coffee and bring it out for a walk if you're up early! You can buy fun mugs at Target and Walmart if you don't want a refill mug, just something like a cute plastic travel mug.

Thanks everyone! I did take those daily walks along the lagoons. It was beautiful! I got my coffee at the Four Seasons most mornings and it was great. Lovely walks, and I especially enjoyed the local senior group that meets every morning between the resorts. I met so many lovely people. Locals and visitors alike. Something that surprised me was that we really only spent time at Aulani in the early mornings and the evenings. We were usually out the door by 8ish, and got back around 6ish. Our teen loved the teen activities in the evenings. She made lots of friends, and our little one like her evenings at Aunty's Playhouse. My husband and I spent lots of romantic evenings watching the sunset. Lovely trip!
