Heading to Anaheim on Friday! A few minor questions regarding lockers & Captain EO

Our first holiday trip (a quick 1 park, day trip) is upon us as we are leaving on Friday and spending the day at Disneyland on Saturday. We just moved our entire office at work over Thanksgiving week, so we are SUPER ready to get away and have some fun!

I just wanted to make sure that the lockers off Main Street are usable again. Are they available and in the same place as before? I know they were doing work on Main Street in the last several months and I thought I read they were closed for some period of time, but I have no idea if it affected the location of them.

Also, Captain EO is gone, yes? I saw it still on the interactive map the other day, but figure it's probably gone, anyway. I expected my trip last February to be the last time I got to see it, so we saw it three times. ;)

It looks like we'll see some rain on Friday, but not on Saturday, which is our park day, so I really can't complain about that! :cool1:

There were closed for much of summer and early-fall, but they've re-opened and they're in the same place as before.

They were showing the Big Hero 6 preview in mid-November. I don't know if they put Captain EO back in when the preview ends, but I wouldn't be surprised if they preview some other movie instead.

Captain EO still closed as of Sunday. The CM I talked to said it probably wasn't coming back anytime soon if at all. The Big Hero 6 M&G that replaced it had pretty consistent long lines all last week.

Yeah, I don't think Captian EO is coming back. The signage has been removed & I'm sure Big Hero 6 will play through the beginning of the year.

Then next year, the films Tomorrowland (George Clooney) & Avengers both are opening in late spring, so I'm sure 1 or both will get a preview in the theater.

(And if there isn't a permanent attraction in there by that time) Star Wars opens in December, so Disney has a enough films to continue doing previews.

I figured as much. Thanks, everybody!

One other question- other than our very FIRST trip, BTMRR has been down for refurbishment and we didn't ride it on that first trip as it was one day and I was scared (don't laugh!). Anyway, WHERE do you get in line for BTMRR? I honestly have no idea where the entrance is!

Big Thunders entrance is across the walkway where you get onto the Mark Twain. Facing the mountain, you enter just to the left

Also the new Cinderella (live, probably along the lines of what they did with Maleficent) is coming out in May. So there is another preview they could run.

Yep! And there are 2 Pixar releases next year! "Inside Out" in the summer & "Good Dinosaur" in the fall.

I remember Maleficent had it's preview in the Bugs Life theater in DCA, so I'm guessing that maybe that's another possibility (but I can't see them having 2 theaters running previews, but who knows!)

Until they figure out what they want to do with that Tomorroland theater, there are more than enough films to show previews, lol.
