Heading North from Orlando To Ma, I 26/I 77 or IA-64 to get to I 81??

Making the fall trip down to Disney October 15 staying till roughly 25th, I have always taken 95. Was thinking possibly going the inland route to catch some foliage in the Shenandoah Valley. I have never been this way and would appreciate anyone sharing some knowledge. I'm wondering which of these routes is desired to get to Interstate 81. 26-77-81 looks longer than 95-64-over to 81. Also wondering if I'd miss much scenery taking 64? Thinking of leaving Disney Sunday the 25th spending a night on Jekyll Island, then heading to Massachusetts. Any ideas of a halfway point to spend the night would be appreciated as well. All in all, how much time/mileage difference is the inland route compared to 95?
