Hope to earn my family a trip to WDW in June and just wanted to connect with other Canadian's -- Maybe you are going then too or can just offer advice.

This will be our first trip - kids are 11 and will be 7!

First trip... congrats! The best advice that comes to mind is pretty simple... note your 180-day and 60-day points for booking dining reservations and FastPass+, respectively. That advice may not be as simple as it seems, because you'll want to have a good idea of which parks you'll visit on which days before then... and so it begins. :teeth:

We are thinking of going next June too! We went this past April for our first trip (supposed to be our one & only but kids loved it so much!) and I got a wealth of info from the Unofficial Guide to WDW book, very helpful. Also, we enjoyed staying off site but I know many people that just swear by staying onsite only. Happy planning to you!

The best advise to any first timer is to read, read and read. Get some guide books and scour the internet. Information is power and the more you know about WDW the better time you will have.

I have helped several friends plan their first trip and the ones that listened to what I told them and actually did it had a blast. The ones that did not listen, came home and said it was terrible and they would never go again. The non-listeners went with almost no trip plans and thought that it was OK to just wing it. They also failed to educate themselves on how everything works at the parks/resorts.

June is a very busy month to go as most of the American kids get out of school between end of May and mid June. If you are visiting at the end of June you will also have the 4th of July vacationers to deal with. The 4th crowds are second only to Christmas. We have been there twice at that time (not by choice) and the parks are literally shoulder to shoulder crowded.
