Heading down to VB... Any questions you want me to find the answer to?

Ok... so we're hopping the train down to Florida tomorrow. Going to do some hiking in the Merritt Island trails then arriving at VB on Sunday.

I am really going to make this a question and answer trip. I already have about 20 questions to answer. Ask me about VB and I will seek the answer. You want a photo of the ice maker... done, a picture of the floor layout.... done. Tell me what you want to know or see... Your opportunity is now...

Could you find out if any of the GVIR's have a King Size bed (I've heard of the OVIR's with a King Size bed). Just wondering if I'll have a shot at this in August. I made the ressie much too late to have any choice in room type and we are lucky to have a room at all. When I'd originally called, there weren't any rooms available.

Have a great trip, and may you get one of the OVIR's with a King Size bed, or end up in Starbox's Holy Grail room!

It is sooo nice to know that someone knows you... I will find out for sure, but I think there may be one GVIR with that configuration. The opposing unit would be where the laundry room is, but I will find out for sure. Thanks, MrsNick.

I'm just saying hi 'cause I'll be there too on Sunday!!! We will stay at the Contemporary tomorrow night as a surprise to my kids---they think we have one night at Old Key West. But we have a Magic Kingdom view room so we can watch wishes from the balcony( I hope).
I hope to meet you while we're there. Look for the lady with puffy eyes--just put my 16 year old cat to sleep yesterday and I can't seem to stop crying!!! I wish we could leave today, we so need a change of scenery.

We arrive on Wednesday and we are sooo excited. PLEASE save some good weather for us. lol

The boys have 1.5 days left of school, Haley (puppy) goes to the kennel on Tuesday am and then we drive to Halifax, spend the night and get a 6am flight Wednesday. See you soon!!

I would like to see all the floor plans of the Inn. I would also like to know if there is a HA beach cottage. Updated menus would also be nice...including the snack bar located at the pool. Thank you so much and have a great time.

We were at VB last month. They're refurbished some nice things, including fresh paint. The resort looks great. Have a great time.

Great timing with this post cause yesterday my niece asked me if she could use her Disney dollars at VB when we are there next week. I gave her the oh so confident response of, "Uh, I think you should be able to... " So if you could find out(or anyone could jump in here) if and where she could spend those Dis$ I'd appreciate it. Also the much debated topic of how often the campfire is has also come up(I say it's a couple nights a week, my brother says every night).

Can't wait to be down there!

yes, absolutely VB accepts DD$ as well as Disney gift cards and dream rewards cards. You can use them for any and all products & services at the resort.

Not the OP, but I can answer your questions -
Booking in advance is always advisable for a CB. The VB CB is quite popular even with folks (non resort guests) who live in the area. MS can help with that. Unfortunately the turtle nesting period is pretty much over by October so your odds aren't that great to see them on the beach.

I checked out your pics of VB. I am hoping to take my family there next summer. Have to wait until November to reserve rooms.

Great photos, & I especially hope to do the one of the table, railing, ocean, & the rum!

Thank you for posting the pictures. All the pics that I had seen, up to this point, didn't put the resort into a good light. Your pics are great!
