Heading down next week; Please help with MDE

I haven't been paying much attention to MDE/FP+ ...

I have a reservation at BWV next week on points. I also have a reservation made through DVC for ME. I haven't made any dining reservations for this trip yet. I was planning on doing that this morning.

I went to check in online. It sent me to a log-in screen for disneyworld. When I logged in using our DVC log in name, it said it couldn't find any reservations for us

So what do I do? Am I doing something wrong? I've never used MDE. I really don't have to, do I? I guess I'm not getting the point of it. I just wanted to check in online

What should I do about dining reservations? How do I make those now?

Geez, I take a few months off for health reasons, come back and can't even check in

If you don't see your room reservation(s) in MDE, you need to link them manually. To link room reservations, from the main MDE page click on 'Link Existing Reservations and Tickets'. You will need the confirmation number and last name of primary guest. Once you link the room reservation to MDE and you are 60 days or less from arrival, there will be a link for on-line check-in.

Disney reservations can be made by phone (MS or 407-WDW-DINE) or on-line at disneyworld.com/dining. There are links to the dining reservation system from DVCMember.com and disneyworld.com (under 'Things To Do' drop down).
