Thanks, so the parks aren't decorated like Disney? We've been to Universal, I just wasn't sure if they do anything special during the day for the Halloween time in the parks. Thanks.
I don’t remember any kiddie Halloween activities. Today’s Universal really caters to the HHN crowd for Halloween. I wonder with the addition of the 3rd park if they will add kid themed Halloween activities to complete with Disney?
As already said, anything Gory will be covered during the day. There will still be Some atmospheric displays of HHN in Studios (think pumpkins, bats, webs, etc). Nothing you wouldn’t see on a well themed neighborhood house (keeping it PG-13 or less).
At IOA in the evenings Death eaters were roaming Hogsmeade and were challenging people to duels. Fog and green lighting plus special Halloween castle show. Really cool and not scary
As others have posted unless you attend HHN there isn’t really a lot to see during the daytime. There is some more merch out and some great fall treats but that is it. The Hogwarts castle show would be great for them at night! Also if they do have another HHN tribute store, it is grata to walk through and get themed treats and merch, but depending on the ages of your kids I wouldn’t risk it unless one parents waits with them and then they swap.
They also set up scarecrows in various stores & sell a scavenger hunt map to find them. Last year the map was $10 w/ a nice sized candy bar, and each scarecrow stop gave a piece of candy when they stamped your card.
