Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

Thanks Connie! :goodvibes A crate is a great idea if you have the room. I'd love to drive for that very reason. On a plane you only get the little space under the seat in front of you if you want access the entire flight. Hope you're having a great day as well!
But, just think instead of 12-16 hrs of travel time you will be there in about 3hrs...how great is that! Neither of my older children like to fly and boy would that take a chunck out of my budget :lmao: $150 gas vs. all that airfare :upsidedow...
Danny said when we go back after the FL update in about five years we are going to fly since it will only be the three of us that go round. Ashton will be around 9 than maybe we'll do the pirate room at CBR or even splurge for the AKL...who knows long time to plan that one!

Subscribing. I can't wait to read more! I am going to Disney for the first time in June and staying at the Poly.

I know what you mean. Flying is faster...more expensive too. :goodvibes The last two years we've flown for about 80/each way per person but this year it looks like $105 is the best we're going to get.

I save all year so that we can go to WDW. We take little cheap mini trips here and there but WDW is the big splurge for sure. I'm hoping to get a raise soon so that I can afford WL at Thanksgiving.

I'm itching to change something in my plans. I've had this fever for a few days now. Hopefully it will pass soon and I won't give into the urge to check out Disney's ADR or package pricing websites. :lmao:

Hope you're having a great night!

I'm rethinking the Poly again! :scared1: I keep battling myself on that for some reason. :confused3 I really do need to find a spot for Les Chefs de France. After that Samantha Brown special I've been asked at least 5 times if we are going to eat with Remy. I didn't think it would be a big deal to the girls but apparently it is. :goodvibes I'm not reconsidering my days as I've checked UG again and I think for the most part we match up. Friday EPCOT day is the only disagreement. If we're going to make it to the DISmeet we'll have to keep that one. :) Well better get ready to head to work. I have big plans to be super productive today! :lmao:

I have BIG Plans to work as few hours as possible today !! If my figuring is right I only need about 4 hours today !!!:lmao:That is a HUGE advantage of being a Manager and having a wonderful Boss !!!:cloud9:

I bet I price out every resort a dozen times before deciding to just save the extra money and stay at the CBR. I always think "what if we decided to change and stay at (insert another resort)?" But, we always go back to the fact that we know we like the CBR. If you know that you truly love the Poly, then I'd stick with it.

I am constantly looking at the Disney restaurant menus to see if I should change around our ADRs. I've had our's booked for months now and I still wonder "what if I.....".

That's a dangerous itch. It seems to be contagious amoungst people on here. Maybe we should be quarantined in say... oh I don't know... WDW! :lmao:

I have to admit that I've thought about switching resorts. I love the Poly but then I think about all the money we'd save if we went back to CBR. We loved it so much last year. Now see what you've done Leanne! ;) I'm thinking about switching again!:rotfl2:

Really? I can't seem to remember...Have you stayed there before, or is this a first, your dream resort sort of thing?

I have had the same battle nearly daily, since I booked the Contemporary. I've had a hard time getting excited to stay there. We love the Poly :lovestruc , but I also really liked the Yacht Club when we were there NYE. I like the thought of trying out new resorts, but then I start thinking, "What if I try it out and hate it...I've wasted $$$ , plus my Disney trip, being somewhere I never want to stay at again." UGH! :headache: Clarification---I do not think you would leave the Poly thinking UGH! I believe you would love it!

I guess we can self-doubt together!

Hope you only had to put in those 4 hourss. I was pretty productive today after all. Still have a lot to do to catch up. I have a new boss so I'm still testing the waters. ;)

Are we sisters? ;) I do the same exact thing!! We've never stayed at a deluxe and honestly the moderates are more than sufficient. That's probably what's behind most of the second guessing. I'm wondering if it's REALLY worth the extra $$$. I am going to find a spot for Les Chefs this weekend. Maybe that will kill this overwhelming desire to change something. :goodvibes Hope you have a great weekend lined up!

I like the way you think Alicia! A quarantine for about a week or so in WDW is just what the doctor ordered.

Sorry for making you rethink your plans. I've been having that thought now for over a week. Really though I do this every year. I can't help it. I just rethink everything because I want it to be so great when we get there without being too hard on the wallet.

We've never stayed at the Poly....only dreamed of it. I understand your thought process too and I think it kind of applies. I've read some negative reports about the Poly and I'm wondering if it's worth the money or not. I guess you're right we can all self doubt together. Hope you're having fun tonight!! :woohoo:

Hello! Leanne
:yay: you are going to the Poly! :stitch: and you are going to love it! :yay:
you are just getting that same Disney itch we all get just before it actually gets here!!
it is going to be awesome being on the monorail line! best of all you are going to be at WDW! The problem is you have your trip all planned and you still have two months to go!So, what now?!? :confused3: I know why don't you start working on the pretrip packing prep and than the feeling of needing to change things might subside...:rotfl2: Oh! and in a week or two you and the girls will be putting your countdown together!

time for a little pixiedust:

:hug:Connie

You're probably right Connie. It happens to all of us at one point or another. I think this is accelerated by the fact that I pay the trip off in the next week or two and if I'm going to make changes they need to be made now to avoid a fee. There I go again being a big tightwad.

I have a spreadsheet of things to pack. I have an Excel workbook dedicated to packing. Every year I go in and fine tune. ;) I bought all the stuff at the Opry Mills store a month ago so the Disney shopping is done and I think I'm stuck in a planning rut if you know what I mean. Tomorrow I'm going to the Kentucky Crafted Exhibition in Louisville so maybe I will find something there to get reinspired about. I also started an at home business yesterday. More on that to come...:lmao: I think I have ADHD just like my Lindsey. I can never have too much too going at once. I talk about being so busy and overcommitted but reality is that I keep committing myself to more. I have no idea how to chill. :confused3

Hey Leanne!! I know how you feel, I always get antsy the closer the vacation gets. I'm always checking the WDW reservations site for better offers, checking for better flights, etc..!!

The Poly is a beautiful resort!! With that being said, if you are looking for luxurious rooms, then you are at the wrong resort. The grounds are lush, which makes for great garden views & it's nice to walk through the resort in the evening when the tiki torches are lit and the Polynesian music is playing. The beach is outstanding for relaxing in a hammock, watching Wishes and the EWP. The Monorail is more than awesome!! However, the rooms are dark and showing their age despite the renovations 4-5 years ago. Our room was always clean though. We really enjoyed our stay at the Poly. It was one of our easiest and most relaxing Disney vacation for 3 reasons: 1) the monorail with Emily and our stroller, 2) we were there for 11 days & 3) we upgraded to MK view, then they upgraded us to CL, MK view which was breathtaking!

I would stay at the Poly again if I had a great discount like last year and after I stay at all of the other deluxe resorts! I hope this review helped put your mind at ease!!:yay:

I know we talked about this already but I think you will really like the Poly! For all the conviences and the "beach" feel. The discount does not hurt either. WHo knows what they will have for next time? And plus there are a bunch of fun people staying there. Good luck finding a place for Le Chefs.
