I confess, I am the Disney lover in the family but this summer, I planned on skipping WDW. Yes, I know, how could I think of doing that? I had two trips in mind...a 10 day trip to California, which included Disneyland, which would have been our first visit there or a trip to the caribbean to lay on a beach and just relax.
DD 17 and DS 14 wanted nothing to do with either of my ideas. But I held fast. I was not backing down. WDW would always be there and we are DVC owners. We go every year, sometimes twice. We could skip a year and go somewhere else.
As you can tell by the title of my post, the kids won. I backed down. The looks on their faces when I told them we were going to WDW were priceless. It was as if they were going for the first time.
Only true Disney lovers can appreciate this little story, which is why I chose to post it on this forum. So now the craziness can begin. I need to book our room, get our dining ADR's and learn all about those magic bands because I have no idea how those work!
