Headed to MDI- maybe I'll see the President!

DH and I just decided to head to MDI (Mount Desert Island) for the weekend despite the POTUS and his family's trip. We'll probably just stay at the campground anyway- but I'd love to get a glimpse of him in town if I can convince dh we should venture out. My daughter works for the hotel he's staying at- her chances of seeing him are pretty good. I know a lot of folks think it's no big deal, but I'd love to say I saw a sitting President!

I have a friend who was on top of Cadillac Mtn today when Air Force 2 flew over.

I'll be staying clear of Bar Harbor this weekend.

I agree. I would not want to be anywhere near Bar Harbor with ANY President in town. That is going to muck things up pretty good.

We won't be up there for another 2 weeks, but my sister lives there and my parents are there now. Bar Harbor is going to be INSANE! My cousin works in Carmen Verandahs..wonder if they'll venture there for a drink LOL!
