So we are headed back to USF in just a few months... was hoping some of you could help me out...

We are planning on staying on-site at HRH club level.. and we are Universal Vets.. as we stayed there last Mardi Gras, and several times before over the years... but just looking for any new help/advice...especially with HP.

1. Any tips, advice on surviving the WWOHP? Any tips to make the waiting less painful?

2. I have motion sickness.. is there ANY CHANCE of me riding the Forbidden Journey at not getting sick? How much motion is involved? Is it similar to any other rides to compare it to.. (Spidey, Simpsons, etc)?

3. Any room / ticket discount codes that we can use to save a few dollars???

4. How good is the broomsticks place? Is it really worth the $$ to eat there??? What about character dinner.. worth it or no???

5. What is the best "plan" for WWOHP? What time should I get there, what to do first, etc.. etc.. where is the best place to get the butterbeer with the least wait?

6. Does HR3 (Hollywood rip, ride, rocket) have an express line yet? Have they worked out all the "kinks" on it.. i.e. is it up and running consistently now?

Thanks in advance...

The motion sickness question is a hard call. The feeling of FJ is truly unique except it might be similar to the Sum of All Thrills in Epcot. (I think that's the name.) Did you ever try that?

I rarely get sick with only Mission Space (orange) and Jimmy Neutron being hard for me. I also used to get sick on Body Wars. For me there is akind of 'swoop' motion in FJ that almost gets me. I manage to shake it off though. Can you take some motion sickness medication?

We enjoyed the Three Broomsticks but to us it's similar to Thunder Falls Terrace which is a favorite. We got the smoked chicken and fish. Sometimes others say they don't care for it but I'm not sure what they ordered. It's just counterservice so you wouldn't spend a lot but it could take some time if the line gets backed up.

Most people say to go to Ollivanders first and then Forbidden Journey. We skipped Ollivanders but we were offsite so didn't have the early entry advantage. The rest of WWoHP was easy to tour except a few of the shops. Those are small and get crowded very easily. You can find a lot of the Harry Potter stuff in the big shop at the front of IOA.

I'm not sure about HRRR or good discounts (would love this myself).

Hey Coach81,what are your dates?I'll check some diff sites for ya on resort prices.Do you have AAA?

For me it's equal in sickness to soarin. Just dont eat much before hand, and definitely no butterbeer.
Potter....EARLY EARLY EARLY. The later you wait, the longer the lines get. Food is good in broomsticks, but standard stuff. The best bet is to do butterbeer in it

use early entry as a hotel guest.
if your boys are interested in parry hotter details, do the shop, olivanders first before FJ.
early in the morning will be less of a wait.

to me, any wait over 15 minutes for that shop is not worth it.

go early in the morning prior to the opening to the general public.
go back in the evening as the crowds will have thinned out.
the shops usually stay open up to an hour after the park closes.

i don't get motion sickness so i'm not much help.
parts of fj will remind you of the simpsons ride.
moving quickly around inside the castle will feel like the spiderman ride.
it is fluid in flowing but quick in some places.
you are moved around in the fj ride.
most of it will be when you are leaning more flat on your back.
but that is for a brief time...

3. Any room / ticket discount codes that we can use to save a few dollars???

UT for tickets.
AAA for room discounts.
if you have a friend that has an ap, have them buy tickets for you.
they can buy up to 6 tickets with their ap discount at the gate.

4. How good is the broomsticks place? Is it really worth the $$ to eat there??? What about character dinner.. worth it or no???

i enjoyed broomsticks but only had the butterbeer there.
it was hot and the menu didn't hit me right the days i was there.
i did the breakfast character meal and loved it.
you are not rushed when you do that.

the hotels on site have character dinners.
you order off the menu and characters are present during that dinner hour.

5. What is the best "plan" for WWOHP? What time should I get there, what to do first, etc.. etc.. where is the best place to get the butterbeer with the least wait?
see above

not yet.

Thanks in advance...

I know.. we can't wait!!!

Thanks for the info guys...

Your questions have been answered, but I'll chime in about our experience with motion sickness. My son and I both suffer from this. We can ride spiderman with no problems, but can't ride the simpsons and mib can get to us on occasion when we lose and spin a lot. Since we had a feeling it would be a problem for us, we took non-drowsy dramamine the night before FJ. It worked! We didn't have any problems even after multiple rides on FJ.
