So it’s been 7 years since we’ve been to Disney and while brushing up on what’s new and doing research I noticed people are saying the best HEA View is in Garden Plaza West in front of Casey’s......... I think I read people were saying right in front of the castle you were too close for the projections? Or maybe I misread something. I thought I remembered when we were there for wishes there were projections on the castle too? Or maybe I am not remembering correctly. When we went we were directly in front of the castle and I remember loving that spot, i swear I remember projections on castle?!

1. One of the better areas. There are certainly other good areas. See the map below.
2. Yup. That's always been the case, even for Wishes and the other MK fireworks shows.
(The larger "major" fireworks are effectively BLOCKED by the height of the castle if guests
stand too close.)
3. Not many, and certainly not of the kind and high quality that are so essential to HEA.
4. If you don't care about seeing all of fireworks, and you don't mind missing the totality of the
projections, standing directly in front of the castle will work.
But, that area would be very disappointing if you want to see the entire "show"
that is designed to be best-seen with a more "over all" view.
5. There were simple images focused during a few key points of Wishes.
HEA has the whole castle "re-designed" throughout the entire HEA show.
The images on the castle are fluidly animated with
changing spectacular motion (and "emotion") throughout the whole event.

You may be remember the projection show on the castle that happened before Wishes, called Celebrate the Magic
Which was summarily changed to a different (but similar) "castle projection show" named “Once Upon a Time.”
OUAT still runs nearly nightly, sometimes seen before HEA, and sometimes after.
