He Was Bitten, Bitten By The Bug! A Nov-Dec '12 TR **WRAP UP 7/26**

Sorry about all the health problems surrounding you, both human and feline.

Some of your pictures from the CRT update are not showing.

Wow! What AMAZING luck with all those popular characters during the party! I've never heard of such a short wait for the Dwarves. And no one in line for the fairies, incredible!

Thanks!

I fixed the CRT pictures. This is the third time I've had to replace the links. Photobucket is really making me :headache: this week!!! Here is the link for the update so you can see them without having to try to find it again:
http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=47113663&postcount=159

I waited for 2.5 hours for the 7 Dwarfs in 2010 (2 of those were before the party started though!), so only a 12-15 minute wait was insane to me!

DAY ONE, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH, PART NINE

After leaving Tinkerbell and Periwinkle I decided to head to the front of the park. Not to leave, but to visit the princesses with their princes. Just as I got to Main Street the parade reached there, so I headed thru the shops on the right side and then cut across to the Main Street Theater and made it in right before everyone else leaving from watching the parade did. I got a quick shot of the "snow" falling along the way.

I got into the princess line and only had to wait about 5 minutes before getting to meet the first of them, Rapunzel and Flynn. I'm sure it will surprise no one that Flynn was immediately hilarious. He complimented me on my hat, saying he wanted one for Pascal. When I made a comment about not knowing if he could find one small enough to fit Pascal he told me he wanted one that big since he could fit Pascal in it. Rapunzel did not like that, and they had an "argument" about it, with Flynn saying he likes Pascal but doesn't appreciate it when Pascal sticks his tongue in his ear when he is trying to sleep. They talked like that for a minute or two before "remembering" that I was there and deciding they should pose with me.

First, the one from my camera:

Then a bunch from the PP!

Next up was Snow White and her Prince (he really needs an actual name!). Prince talked to me for a bit about how he and Prince Phillip are teaching Flynn how to be a prince. He said he was doing well with the first few lessons, but needed some help with his face, as he always looks like "he is eating too many lemons" AKA the smolder. :rotfl2: Snow was all kinds of sweetly "sincerely concerned" that Flynn's face would stick like that if he didn't lay off the citrus. I was trying so hard not to crack up at her because she was nailing Snow White's character so well with the sweetness and concern.

And PP pics

Last of the Princesses was Aurora and Prince Phillip. Phillip may have had the best line of the entire trip. He saw my shirt and asked if I really had a carriage. Playing along I said yes, and he asked how many horses I had to pull it. I remarked with my best sad face that I only have one, so I couldn't go very fast. He just smiled a smile that was half Cheshire Cat and half completely sweet and said "I guess then at this time of the year you have a one horse open sleigh". Aurora looked stunned as he had not skipped a beat and came up with that very quickly, while I started laughing. He looked so very proud of himself for it too.

Unfortunately PP put someone else's pics of Aurora and Phillip on my card, and couldn't find mine. Thankfully they did take 3 pictures of the interaction with my camera.

Talking about the carriage, I mean sleigh.

And a nice posed picture

503_zpscde6e846.jpg

I headed out of the dump shop after I finished with the princesses and back into the Main Street Theater to get in line for Minnie and Mickey. They cut the line off a couple of minutes after I got into it. That line was longer, but I still only waited about 15-20 minutes before getting this picture:

Photo0096FourBySix_zpsbff7cce6.jpg

After our posed picture I got a hug from each of them before I left.

It was 11:50pm by the time I got done with Mickey and Minnie, so I decided to leave. First though I headed here:

506_zps7761b260.jpg

Where is that? The Main Street railroad station, so I could get these pictures:

508_zpsa367ff23.jpg

507_zps6812c1ee.jpg

Then I did head out, with a ton of other people. Taking one last shot on my way out of the goodbye sign:

509_zpsb7dd528f.jpg

I made my way to the POP bus stop and was on a bus at 12:11am and back to POP at 12:30am. I went straight to bed, as I had another big day the next day!!

NEXT TIME: EPCOT FUN!

Great interaction! How funny from Prince Philip. :rotfl: Your Snow White looks like a good one, glad she acted the part well too. :goodvibes

Love your update!! I have a feeling DH is going to dragged to meet many characters on our October trip!! I really want to meet Rapunzel & Flynn after everyone's stories!

Oh man, you gut such funny interactions! :rotfl2: You had a very productive evening character wise.

I can't find that Tangled border on my photopass. I was so disappointed to find that there was no border for Rapunzel. I wonder if they took it off, or if I'm just blind.

That picture with the castle from the train station is gorgeous! I guess they hadn't put up the tree yet? If so, you traveled at the perfect time! While I like the Christmas trees around Disney, I find the one in the Magic Kingdom to be more of an inconvenience.

I was very happy with all 3 princess interactions!!

Everyone I know that has met R & F has had a great interaction with them. They were my parents favorite interaction when they went 2 weeks before I did.

Darn, I hope you find that border, as I was so happy they had them for my pictures.

They put up the tree a couple of days later, they still had the stage set up from the parade taping so I was able to get a great view! :thumbsup2 I agree that it is an inconvenience where it is. The trees at the other 3 parks are good locations.

I looked again to make sure I hadn't overlooked it. There's not there. I did find one border that was only available for Rapunzel. It had purple pixie dust, but the image is of Cinderella's blue dress and it also has some needle and thread. That should be for Cinderella! Yet that one is not even available for Cinderella, she has some blue pixie dust with a pumpkin.

I agree, the tree at the other parks is much better.

I answered about the missing borders on your thread too, but email Disney PP about it. Someone on the December thread did about their missing borders and got them.

Fun update, Stephanie. I wish I could convince Mark to go and do the Princesses with me, but he hasn't broken down yet. You had some great interaction with them. LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures with Mickey and Minnie. :goodvibes

What fun update! I think of all the prince and princesses, I like the pictures with Flynn the best. I think it's because he's the one that looked most like his character. You gotta love it when the characters really get into "character" and bring up things from their movies. Loved it!

You just need to convince him that he will have gorgeous, young Princesses fawning over him. What guy doesn't want that? ;)

I loved my pics with M & M too!

Flynn does do his character so well! I've never heard of anyone not liking their interaction with him. I also loved that Snow White and Snow Prince brought him into their interaction with me, talking about his smolder face and making fun of it in a sweet way.

You have some great pictures there with some great stories from the characters. Very cool stuff indeed. The picture of the castle looks amazing. It looks like they give you a real good sense of a true december/christmas feeling there. great update.

I was so happy with my character interactions, everyone was great, though some were better than others. And the decorations are wonderful, definitely give you a nice holiday feeling! :santa:

I answered about the missing borders on your thread too, but email Disney PP about it. Someone on the December thread did about their missing borders and got them.

I got a pretty generic answer (thanks for your feedback, blah blah blah), so I sent one back with a more specific request of getting those missing borders (Rapunzel, Chip) and included my PP+ ID number.

I loved the "snow" falling when we were at Osborne Lights. It looks so neat in your Main Street pictures.

It looks like you had a great time with the Princes and Princesses. Bummer that PP lost some of the photos but at least you got some on your camera!

I love the Christmas outfits that Mickey & Minnie were wearing.

Great shots of the Castle all lit up! I didn't get any good ones with my little camera.

I hope with a more specific request you get a real response, and not a generic reply!

I was bummed about them losing my Aurora/Phillip PP pics, but at least they got the ones with my camera so I didn't lose them completely.

M & M's outfits were very nice!

The prince/princess interactions look like a lot of fun. Definitely above and beyond normal expectations all around. That's a shame they didn't get your PP photos with Aurora and Prince Philip.

All of the interactions were great, and better than I expected!

DAY TWO, FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30TH, PART ONE

I woke up that morning around 7am feeling a little sore from all the walking the day before and with my head a little stuffy. I took some Vitamin C then a shower. I then made my way to the bus stops. I was heading here today:

514_zpsd17b05ca.jpg

There was only one family of three in line in front of me. The weather was very nice that day, in the 60s and sunny already.

515_zpse8e02260.jpg

The bus arrived at 8:19am. We all boarded, and by all I mean me and the only 8 other people that were in line. The bus driver waited a couple of minutes to see if anyone else would come, but they didn’t so we pulled out at 8:21am. We had a nice ride and in 11 minutes we arrived at Epcot.

517_zps7945d03e.jpg

518_zps026d0571.jpg

For some reason the bag check line was taking forever, but I made it thru in a few minutes and got in line. There were 20-30 people in each line already. While waiting I got a shot of the Monorail going by, and the Christmas decorations on the entrance turnstiles.

519_zpsef9d7745.jpg

521_zps030c611a.jpg

At 8:48am they started the opening speech. They no longer have an opening ceremony, but do still have an announcement basically welcoming you to Epcot and telling you about a few of the attractions. Then they shoot paper streamers at you, which scared the woman behind me so bad I had a hard time not laughing at her. Here are some of the streamers around my feet:

520_zps19050a02.jpg

They opened the turnstiles at 8:50am and I was in the park by 8:55am. I took my first picture of Spaceship Earth, then some of the Christmas topiaries that are as you walk in.

525_zps13858ea9.jpg

526_zpsed6128ac.jpg

I didn’t even really stop to take the pictures, just snapped as I kept going. My first stop was The Land, and since TT was still closed I knew most of the other guests would be headed that way too. I quickly made my way to the building…

528_zps06c1557b.jpg

I made my way downstairs and grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin’, then got in the standby line to ride it right away.

531_zpse4d3e4be.jpg

532_zpsc9d35b94.jpg

533_zps9b4f7f01.jpg

I love the ride, but that line is so boring. I completely understand why, it’s supposed to look like a terminal and it does, but it makes getting good pictures difficult. Thankfully the line was still non-existent, so I was soon on my number (Row 2) and watching this:

534_zpse4065bd6.jpg

535_zpsf70965c6.jpg

I enjoyed it as always, but it needs a rehab! The tape had spots all in it and the screen was a little dirty. Still a great attraction though, especially the orange scent!

Next stop was the only place I ever eat breakfast at in WDW. I usually only eat a granola bar or the like for breakfast in normal life anyway, but I really like Sunshine Season’s Adult Breakfast Platter. I ordered it and sat down to enjoy it while watching more and more people streaming in The Land pavilion.

537_zpsa8bdeca6.jpg

538_zpsa757dd02.jpg

I really love the hot-air balloons they have in the pavilion, they are so pretty!

539_zps7d79f760.jpg

Once I got done eating I figured it made sense to head into Living With the Land since I was right there. There was actually a wait, probably from everyone who either just got off Soarin’ or were waiting for their FP time. It was only about 5 minutes though, so not a bad wait. I took a bunch of pictures of the walls while waiting.
