My son proposed to his girlfriend of seven years. We will be taking a trip all of us, my children, and future daughter-in-law staying at Riviera Resort, in a few months. I need ideas! Wanted to plan something special for them. Celebration Package at Cinderella Royal Table? Capture the Moment? Definitely a special cake! If you can recommend one, please and thank you. I would love for them to have something magical and memorable as they start their lives together.

Congrats, how wonderful! I hope others will jump in with specifics...
I just think I’d plan for quite a few months out. Best of luck!

Thank you, yes, for now it's booked a few months out and if need be, we just re-book. But looking forward to getting together with everyone and celebrating, surprising them in some way.

All of those sound like great ideas! A carriage ride or boat rental might be nice too—especially a fireworks cruise!

The Official Cake Chatter Thread's second post has all the info you need for ordering a cake. I just had an Inside Out-themed mini cake delivered to Topolino's Terrace at Riviera, which is posted on the last page of the thread. It was great!

I saw! I'm looking through all of these cakes and they are amazing I would eat them all! They have a puppy who will be a year and Lion King is special to us to trying to see if I can incorporate something of an idea too yet trying to keep it wedding/engagement themed. These cakes! Yumminess!

I've gone through some of the pages of the Cake chatter thread but there's hundreds. Is there anywhere else where you can see pictures to get some ideas? A link of some sort. The cakes are great but there's all occasions in there. Looking for wedding, engagement themes offered by Disney pastry chefs.

@dvcterry Yes, that's actually the best way to guarantee you get a cake that looks like what you have in mind. Once you get in touch with Private Dining by phone, they will give you an email to send pictures to.

My brother asked my sister in law ( many moons ago ) when we were on a family trip. He surprised her by flying in her mom and dad and we all celebrated at California Grill. It was wonderful!

we got married at canada terrace two years ago. I think the important thing is to make sure they spend some of the trip apart from eachs "old" family as they celebrate starting their new family. don't lose sight of the fact that this is their wedding, not just an extended family vacation. when everybody is together, same Disney planning...get those reservations, get those fast passes. something special for them would be something they wouldn't pay for themselves...dinner at Victoria and alberts? we had 4 days just the two of us, and spent three with extended family...we were happy.

Thank you, great idea. I always wanted to eat at Victoria & Albert's and dinner for the two of them would be perfect.
