I agree completely. No one person deserves more mourning because of what salary he made before enlisting....they all are heroes.

I don't think anyone's saying they're mourning more or less for anyone -- just that it's a story that they had heard about.

The surpising thing is for alot of people this would bring what is going on their closer to home. It's amazing how many people ignore the fact of the number of people being killed until it's some "famous" that is killed. Maybe this will actually help some people better realize what is actually going on over there.

Its terrible that have to think that someone has to die for some people to wake up.

I don't think anyone is mourning *more* because of his former salary, I think (IMO) that we are commenting on the fact that he felt so strongly to serve his country that he gave up something most of us don't have in order to serve.How many of us would do that?Especially post-9/11?
