OMG I'm engaged!!!

Dbf...well I guess df now! Suprised me last night. We had been fighting and it was around 7:30. I was planning on making dinner and watching a movie but he insisted on going to his parents house to drop off some money. When we left their house, we went the opposite way home. When I questioned him, he said that he wanted to go for a drive. After suggesting some places to eat...and driving right by...then stopping at a green ligh we ended up at a local park that's at a lake. It was the location of our first date.

He told me to get out of the car, he wanted to read me something he wrote. I figured he was being romantic since he had been fighting. He go to the end of the poem and he said that he didn't need the piece of paper for the last verse

He finished the last verse off the top of his head and got down on one knee!! I am still in complete shock. He's had the ring for weeks and even asked my parents permission. He was planning on doing it during our June vacation but said something about yesterday just felt right!!

Oh and BTW your ring is amazing, I love all the detail it has a glam vintage feel which looks awesome! He did a very good job picking out that ring

Thank you!! I am so excited. We are probably doing a DFTW next March. I just love the ring...we actually picked it out together but he bought it by himself so I didn't "really" know!

Kinda of but since Df hasn't been since he was 10. I love the idea of EPCOT but he wasn't keen on 9 a.m....he wants a more traditional reception.

I really can't wait till June so I can show him things!!

I feel him on that 9am thing. I wanted to get married in Italy but I just could not see myself getting up so early to get ready. There are so many beautiful locations. Have fun checking them out in June.

Yup we thought about Epcot too, but our wedding is the day after the superbowl and to be honest I don't trust all the groomsmen to be sober by 9am lol! So we went with 5pm at WP instead

Lol that's pretty smart. He saw pics of the WP and loved it too...plus I like the idea of a DP at Sago Pointe. Too many ideas to be honest...I am a bit overwhelmed with just the engagement must less planning!

But then looking at his neices/nephews school schedule they have break 3rd week of Feb and 2/3rd week of April

Yup Cheaper to get married during the week...figure that way everyone can get there on Sunday and not spend a fortune on Fri/Sat night rooms if they don't want to.

I knew there must be a reason and that is a very good one I can't wait to see which of the amazing locations you pick, although I am with Eric on the 9am wedding...no one wants to have to get up THAT early on their wedding day. But...that France location was absolutely gorgeous!!! Glad I'm not the one having to decide between all of these things. I couldn't do it!
