HDMI inputs on TVs in upgraded OKW rooms?

I was wondering if the new flat screen TVs in the upgraded OKW rooms have an HDMI input? I would assume they would, but I know that TV manufacturers make cheaper model TVs specifically for hotels. We will be down shortly and will be spending time in our room while the 2 year old sleeps... I wanted to know if I could stream movies from my phone.

Thanks for your help...

We are at OKW right now with a "new" LG flat screen TV, but no HDMI input. It does have analog inputs and that is how our DVD player is hooked up. There is a HDMI plug sticking up thru the access opening in the base of the cabinet, but no place to plug it in on the back of the TV.

I don't know if all of the OKW villas have the same situation or not. Our building was one of the early ones to go refurbishment so hopefully the later ones may have HDMI capability.

Doc,

Thanks for the response. My guess is if one doesn't, all of them don't. They probably bought them by the truck load. Sounds like DVDs and regular TV, plus the iPad...

Thanks again.

I just looked at the setup again. While I still can't find a HDMI port on the TV itself, there is a box attached to the lower shelf at the base of the cabinet. It is fixed to the shelf so I can't pick it up to look at the back, but it does have a HDMI In port, a PC Video IN port and an analog set. I can't tell how it is connected to the TV (I assume it has analog cable on the back that do connect to the analog plugs on the TV) and I have no way to easily check how/if it works, but thought that might help you.

If I select the "Input" button the TV remote it does not havea HDMI option, but has two AV choices (AV1, AV2) so there is a way to select these input options.

I hope this helps.

Thanks again. I will bring the cables just in case...

Just wanted to give you an update. The TV actually has an HDMI input on the back. I have an MHL adapter for my phone and a Netflix app. And it works. So while the little guy sleeps and we can watch whatever we want.

Obviously, the TVs may be different in the various renovated rooms, but I am happy I brought the adapter.

Great! Glad you could find an input. Do you have the converter box on the lower shelf?

Have a wonderful stay! :)

I do have that converter box. I plugged into it but couldn't figure out what input it went into so I just gave up and looked for inputs into the TV and found them.
